You saved my game with this. Was getting almost no npc conversations (possibly due to multifloor sandboxing?). Slapped this mamma-jamma on the bottom of my load order and boom, npc's start talking. Also appreciate the non voice overlap version. I experienced that when using FSS and it nuked my immersion into oblivion. Other features also seem good so far. Like the quieter merchants who don't hawk their goods like robots as well as not initiating convos with literally every pedestrian I pass. Honestly, this is a really good 'one stop' mod for npc behavior in a vanilla plus playthru.
Hi everyone! After checking out the plugin in SSEEdit, I thought I'd post how you could remove the changes to the pauses inbetween dialogue lines while keeping all of the other features of the mod,
Open the plugin in SSEEdit and find "fGameplayVoiceFilePadding" under Game Setting. Here, you can either right-click and remove the record (disable the shorter pauses in dialogue entirely) or edit the value per your taste (vanilla is 0.500000, so the closer to this number the longer dialogue pauses will be).
I also recommended editing "fAIInDialogueModeWithPlayerDistance" under Game Setting to 240 instead of 450, if you prefer the NPC greeting feature of the mod to be less subtle.
Thank you so much to the Gorgulla for the mod and happy gaming!! :)
Mod authors are so entitled! We already have to download and install your mods now you want people to read too??? Madness, madness I say! /sarcasm off/
Thank you for creating and sharing this mod. It makes my time in skyrim even more enjoyable and I appreciate it.
You can with regular followers. There's a mod that only does that but I don't remember what it's called. Most follower management mods also have that option. Complex followers like Inigo or Lucien have options through dialog or mcm to have them talk less but not all do.
This mod is fantastic and will remain in my load order, but it would be really nice to have it as an ESL format to make room for some other new stuff as well.
Late, but would highly recommend not turning this into an ESL. SSEEdit lists that it shouldn't be flagged for a reason and flagging it risks causing extra problems.
Edit: My bad, I didn't read the part about compacting forms which was what my comment was directed at. Do not simply ESL-lify, be sure to compact forms first and you should be good to go!
SSEEdit does not offer any warning about ESPFEing this mod. I have run it in that format for a long time with no issues. You have to compact the Form IDs.
