Now v1.3 is released I'd just like to gloss over some of the current features, the two versions and future plans etc...

    As of v1.3:
    - There are 2 spells that open inventory. Oh myyyy...
    - The "Open Inventory - Outfit" spell allows you to take items of the NPC's original outfit and gives them a brand new one, randomly generated.
    - You now can access a "portable storage" whenever and wherever you are. You can safely store whatever you like there. This is great for people who have collector type mods or things like Halos Poser. Or maybe you are just a minimalist that struggles with a hoarding issue. I am not judging.
    - Auto loot will now automatically loot items to your portable storage instead of you if you are sneaking.

    Why two versions?

I was told a power version would work better with Add Item Menu. I don't use that mod and the most I know of it is what I've read. It was a request and testing the power version, it seemed to run much more smoothly with possibly better control. I will be using this version personally from now on, but left it as an optional as updating with one of the spells equipped would have caused issues.

The spell version looks nicer, has better effects and would be better for people roleplaying as mage characters or wanting to level their magic skills. It also has the advantage of having two of the mod's spells equipped at the same time.
The choice is entirely down to your preference. If updating from 1.2 for either version then you'll need to buy Open Inventory - Outfit and Portable Storage at the Riverwood Trader.

    Future Plans

This mod would have remained at version 1.0 if not for the suggestions of the community. Keep them coming, if it's physically possible and doesn't detract from my intentions with this mod then I will implement them. However, I have many other mod projects that I would like to finish or update. This mod is at a point that development will take a backseat for a while. Then maybe a big update, who knows...

Thank you for all the downloads, endorsements and comments. They encourage me to make more mods.

    Just a quick update!

I am still working on this mod and any improvements, fixes etc... However, I have recently been focusing on a more personal project which is quite big and has taken up considerable amounts of my free time. For reasons that will become known, it is very important to me to develop and release that mod.

To make matters worse, I live in England where the weather is abnormally hot and I use a laptop which has an overheating issue. This has greatly restricted my modding time. I've had to prioritise the new (bigger) project simply so it is not at a standstill. This new project is now very near completion and once V1.0 is released, my priority will be Open Inventory.

Thanks for all your support of the mod, it means a lot.

You can fix the infinite carry weight yourself using xEdit very easily.

There are multiple steps to take to remove the effect entirely from the esp but I don't remember them now, but to just get your inventory weight back to normal:

Open esp in xEdit, go to spell, infinite carry weight, scroll all the way down to Base Effect, and change the Magnitude from 50000.000000 to 0.

That will, in essence, nullify the effect entirely.

Hi like your mod. for a quick random refit and steeling stuff it's awesome. Hope your other project comes thrue for you.
Donno what direction you want to take with this mod, but to make it a redresser for NPC standard gear there is one included in the Bathing Beauties or Beefcake Luxury Suite SE (BBBLS) they also have some custom ability in the cellar where you create your own set, this however is limited to default values, so you cant give them any upgraded or enchanted gear, only copy what you set up in the mannequins and copied gear is always default values.
With your mod it would only be possible if you strip them totaly from all hidden gear and don't give them any random hidden gear and then add in the gear you want them to use in the regular inventory.
For armored gear there is no trouble at all as long as the gear you add in is better than the random gear, for cloth and accessoaries there is however some random what they will use, might choose to not use any gear at all, if all is unarmored, and walk around nude. I'm no modder but if I understand it correctly from BBBLS is that as soon as you gave a outfit to someone you can change what's on the mannequin and it will not affect the NPC you dressed with it since it's a copy.
Now my idea is if you have a container/mannequin where you can put the gear you want to equip to someone and have it moved as a set, so it become their default gear not just something in their regular inventory. If doable you can give anyone enchanted and tempered gear.
NFF has a function for follower that force them to use what ever you want them to where when they are assign as followers.
Not seen any mod doing a default change with tempered gear.
I know you don't wanna go SKSE dependency with this mod, so maybe a 2nd version?
Oops got some lenght here :)

+1 on dropping infinite carry weight
+1 on redressing NPC's, with armor or clothing from player inventory
      -1 on the mannequin idea
-1 on the random gear being applied

Many Thanks for this:) With this as a base, I made an interspatial ring mod that adds your portable storage spell when equip then remove when unequip without losing the items inside. :) I've been looking for a similar mod but no luck. so happy I found your mod. :D

Never mind, discovered doing "player.forceav carryweight" and then setting the number to what you want fixes it.

Just a heads up. This mod messes with Unique Character. I was really having a time getting my custom skin to show up on my character, it turned out to be this mod. They work together if you load this mod before any mods that make the character looks different than the rest of the herd, otherwise you get the vanilla body and textures. Maybe you should find another way to add enchantments to the player than use the naked body.

is there any way we can get a sub file that deactivates unlimited carry weight?
personally i don't like unlimited carry weight but the mod seems fun to play around with
