Version 1.0
Created
With Skyrim VR version 1.4, this mod is no longer necessary as Bethesda properly implemented bUseWandDirectionalMovement into their game.
Using bUseWandDirectionalMovement = 0 for walking changes movement from wand pointing direction based to head based. I greatly prefer head based movement, but changing this setting to 0 makes horses near unusable. This mod simply changes bUseWandDirectionalMovement to 1 when the player gets on a horse and then back to 0 when the player gets off the horse.
To install, just download and install through a mod manager or extract everything to your SkyrimVR\Data folder.
Note: There when mounting or mounting a horse, there is a small variable delay of roughly 0-5 seconds where the player cannot move. This is to process the ini change and there is no way around it as far as I'm aware.
