    For vortex users:

Make sure to set the mod rules (In Vortex) that this comes after anything that installs the same textures.

    Hopefully that helps someone.

Does anyone know how to fix the hazel eyes? The eyes keep reverting when I load the game.

I think Ive found the solution. I was having the same issue. So I was using a different mod for vamp eyes with HPH on, but Eyes of Beauty broke everything and I kept getting a generic hazel color, with my racemenu slider locked. NPC vamps, ironically, were just fine. This fixed it:

      Vampire Eyes Unlocker

So, basically it does what it says on the tin, it unlocks that slider, then you can just pick the proper vamp eye you want, or something else entirely. I'm surprised nobody has come up with a more viable solution to an issue that has seemingly been around for years. Anyway, there you go. Hope this helps for anyone dealing with this bull****.

UPDATE: So, after more testing, while the above solution does technically work, there is a drawback. It can cause CTD's due to the way it functions. It also doesn't actually solve the issue, since upon saving and reloading, if it is successful, the eyes revert back to a normal color. After some noodling, I think I know the problem. For me I use High Poly Heads and it is a known bug that when your character becomes a vamp, the head will revert back to a vanilla state, which may be the reason for the eye reverting back. I had tried HPH with the vamp head fix enabled, but it never worked...till now. After reinstalling again, now it works as it should. I'll just chalk it up to Skyrim doing Skyrim things, but I wish I could understand this better.

This may be a longshot, but the blue eyes from this wonderful mod seem to have some sort of incompatibility with "Vampire Lord Overhaul 1.4B" (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89538?tab=description), because when transformed into the vampire lord, instead of staying bright glowing blue, the eyes turn purple-ish (with VLO, the vampire lord form retains the player character's vampire eyes). The mod author of VLO suggested I ask here, because they have made some attempts at fixing the incompatibility without success.

Yes that would happen. The reason is that the eyes in the vampirelord replacer nif it installs are not color neutral and will only look good with an eye texture that has the same or close color value. If you want these pretty blue eyes to stay blue using that mod you will need to edit the replacer vampirelord nif it installed using one of the eye nifs this installed as a reference and change the values for Emissive Color and Multiple under BSLightingShaderProperty of its eyes to match this. You can use nifscope to make these changes

      meshes\actors\character\character assets\eyesmalevampire.nif
      meshes\actors\character\character assets\eyesfemalevampire.nif

      meshes\actors\vampirelord\character assets\vampirelord.nif
      meshes\actors\vampirelord\character assets\vampirelordfemale.nif

After that is done you would then delete the glow map that mod installed found here
      textures\actors\character\eyes\eyevampire_g

In the same folder you will find the glow map this installed named cvo_g
copy and rename it the same as the one you deleted so it becomes eyevampire_g

Do that and when you go back into game as VL your pretty blue eyes should now be showing correctly for you

TO ANYONE HAVING YELLOW GLOWING VAMPIRE EYES GLITCH

I fixed this just downloading the original mod

    Link : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13722

Download the "The Eyes Of Beauty Dawnguard Update" and let this overwrite any eyes mods ( If you using children mod, delete or hide the Babette.esp. You don't need it at all )
Looks like this glitch happens because they lack the correct npc nif files ???
I don't really know what exactly causes this issue....

      You are a godsend.

You should optimize the nifs for SE though. They could cause save corruption afaik.

Move this mod below better vampires, eyes will take on what ever bv eyes are,  and sometimes I don't think its wise to use the command playersetrace thing... but up to the user.

Some Updated Info and General Feedback for users reporting issues with this mod

    Update:

Courtesy of wammy there is now a fun new take on this that also includes additional eye color choices so be sure to check it out The Eyes of Beauty - Vampire Eyes Remastered

The links for my vampire mods CVO and MVE on this DESC are broken. Here is where they are now to include the HD version of CVO for High Poly Head users

More Vampire Eyes - Cosmetic Vampire Overhaul - Cosmetic Vampire Overhaul HD

    Reported Issues:

For many issues reported here it was clear that the user posting did not bother to read the Description. I know reading is hard but responding to posts to give info already in this DESC is harder so like any other mod read it before posting

This is a simple replacer mod for the games vampire eye files and thus will always be impossible to be the cause of issues reported that can only happen from record changes ( esp ) or scripts

There are alot of posts for eyes not looking right for NPC and some rather questionable solutions for that being offered by others here. This is not unique to this mod and you will see similar posts in any other vampire eye replacer mod that change color and style from DLC

If you installed this without changing vampire NPC in your game the red eyes from here will look different but not horrible for NPC. The blue eyes will be utterly destroyed. Eyes from normal or glowing option here will not change NPC to normal or to glowing it is player only

This is not a bug in the game it is how the game works for NPC. Fun fact, the games original vampire eyes are set with a very high yellowy color glow that covers the entire area of eye and only looks good ( Does it though? ) for original DLC textures. It will distort or destroy replacer textures depending on what replaces it for NPC. This is because NPC are not changed or affected by any replacer nif for eyes and are only affected by textures

Anytime you replace vampire eyes in your game with these or any other that differ from original if you want them to look the same on NPC then the NPC will need to have new facegen nif files created using the same eye nif you are using for your player. There is no exception for this, no cheats or shortcuts. You either need to create new facegen for them yourself or use a mod that covers vampire NPC that already does this which is why my mod CVO is listed as a courtesy here as an option ( Not required ) for NPC. If you want to use a different mod for vampire NPC it needs to have used a color neutral nif for eyes and if the NPC in that mod were made using vanilla you will get the same problems as before using it since the eye nif in their new facegen is the same as before and was not changed

One of the solutions being offered is to install old facegen files from legacy TEOB. Dont do that. This is SE and the default vanilla facegen here is higher quality anyways from old game both nif and texture. For stability and quality reasons I advise you to only use facegen that was created for use in this version of game. It is a known issue to cause problems and why the developer has the new CK by default spit out new facegen files for NPC when plugins are saved in it. Legacy facegen nif files are not safe or supported for use in SE

Standalone vampire follower mods and makeovers for NPC like Seranaholic

You cannot simply spit out new facegen nif in CK as that nif was not made in CK and likely was made from custom slider settings and sculpts using character creation mods such as Racemenu or Enhanced Character Edit that you will not be able to replicate unless a preset was also shared for the face. For those mods if you want them to use the textures from here you need to manually replace the new standalone eye texture they use with one of these. If you want them to glow or not glow etc you will have to go in and directly edit the eyes inside the existing facegen nif used by that NPC

Glowing eyes are not supported in VR and will bug out if used. If you had broken eyes when trying to use glowing in VR that is why so re-install choosing normal to fix them

This works same as before for AE and sister update of SE that many mistakenly are calling AE ( It is not ) If you paid money recently for a crap ton of CC content then you are on AE. If you are like most who updated and wondered why they could now fish in skyrim then you are still on SE. This still works no matter what you are on as again this is simple replacer for files that have not changed since DLC and could care less if you are now fishing as a vampire ( Mmm tasty blood fish )

    High Poly Head users

The vampire head fix from it installs an esp that turns off the overlay flag to remove ALL overlays from the games vampire races. This was done to keep the game from setting you back into the default vampire head. This will also keep your player from getting vampire eyes when becoming vampire. What happens to your Player when using that fix esp depends on the eye you used when human and changes from other mods. You may just keep plodding along using the last human eye or the game might say welp, I guess no eyes for you. If that happens you can first try simply re-entering character menu and if the modded stars align get set back in your race default vampire eye. For some that may work but for others it may not. Problems with getting and keeping vampire eyes using HPH was a common issue reported when my mod CVO HD was here at nexus so I made an alternate fix for use with it that is still available on its page as a last ( Or first if already using it) resort for HPH users for vampire eyes
