Adds an undead version of the dark elf race.

Adds in an undead version of the Dark Elf race.  As undead they don't need air, are immune to poison, 25% resistant to cold and 75% resistant to disease, as well as 25% weak to flame.  They currently have a toggleable power that gives them a ghostly look, called Wraith Form, as well as a custom fear mechanic that works like a sort of banshee call and levels with you.  They also have built-in cannibalism from start.


The race has no natural health regeneration, instead relying on corpses and magic to heal.  Eating a body gives the player 30 minutes of health regeneration, improved from most races default but still balanced.  It also gives the player a bonus of 50 points (doesn't stack, will make levelled at some point) to health for 5 minutes, as well as providing an instant 50 points of healing.  Being seen while eating a corpse results in a bounty.

There are also stat changes associated with cannibalism:

  • +25% fire and frost resistance
  • Fortify health 50 points 
  • Recover 50 health instantly


Wraith form now has full functionality, and is a complete playstyle in its own right.  While the form is active, you get various stat changes, a resistance to all weapons, and further weakness to fire.  Your stamina will drain slowly while it is active, and when your stamina depletes your health will drain (twice the rate of the stamina drain) until the player dies, again (cool effect added on death).  The form provides the following changes:

  • 50% resistance to all weapons (ranged and melee)
  • 25% increased damage dealt with all spells
  • 25% reduced destruction and illusion cost
  • 25% increased shock frost resistance
  • 50% increased fire weakness

Chart in the images showing how all of these stat changes interact with each other, since it gets a bit much to visualize.  Negative numbers are weakness, positive resistance.  Gorged is the name of the bonus from recently eating a corpse.

Uses the default Dunmer body/head/etc., so it will default to any body mods you have installed for male/female.  I will eventually add in custom effects or textures for the 'normal' non-wraith form, but seeing how you can accomplish some pretty good looking undead characters with just overlays and fairly standard mods (see images), for now I will focus on the immersion/gameplay side of things.

Immediate plans to add triggers when wraith form is on to make NPC's hostile and undead neutral (removed so that a new system can be made).  Will leave all old files up since they're all stable to my knowledge and people may prefer some of the milder bugs (like the increased range I fixed).  


Still very much a WIP, but should be perfectly stable for a playthrough as is.  I currently play mine with 480+ mods active, works fine  Vampirism was added in, but has not been tested, so use at your own risk.  I will get around to it once the race is more feature packed. 

Open to suggestions on changes, versions, or even learning skillsets.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Immersive Interactions - Animated Actions: Works fine, but for the cannibalism animation to play you must disable the option for "NPC loot" in the MCM.

NOTES:

  • Terrifying Visage (the fear spell) is granted upon using Wraith Form for the first time.  Use the spell every few levels, some features now and a lot of future ones will be tied to using the form.
  • The cannibalism animation does not work in sneak.  I will tinker with this.
