Despite the rarity of these traps, deep in the Workshop of Nchardak, one engineer devised a powerful device. A shield mounted with a deployment mechanism that was linked to a specialized dispenser via a small portal, capable of laying large fields of these mines. Once perfected, there were plans for mass deployment of these shields to allow for area denial tactics in more forward conflicts, however The Battle Of Red Mountain interrupted it's development shortly after the first prototype was finished, still sitting on the workbench.
As well as these insidious traps, A rare tool has also been found, The Dwemer Multiwrench. A rare and heavy tool capable of handling a multitude of tasks, Wrench, Hammer, and even a blade capable of shaving off burrs, scoring metal and opening metal canisters of preserved food. Unfortunately many of those functions have been deemed largely useless in the modern age, even the food canisters have long since corroded, so in it's stead they can be used in a much simpler way... as a well balanced, faster than average Mace for bludgeoning one's foes.
While most of these things are still buried in the Nchardak Workshop, Calcelmo managed to find a few Mines and a Wrench to put in his Museum.
A silly little mod that took ages to actually get because I forgot how far into the Dragonborn Quest Nchardak is, and then I got distracted by the incredible DAc0da Mod, but ultimately I just wanted some equipment befitting of an "Engineer Build" with Ordinator's amazing Hotwire Perk.
And yes, the shield is a tad OP when paired with Vegetable Soup, but most things are to be fair, and it's basically just the Dawnguard Rune Hammer but as a shield.
I feel very awkward putting this on here, but any small donation helps me immensely and alleviates some of my perpetual doubts and lack of energy https://patreon.com/TheProxyGod
