The best thing about blacksmithing is you can make your own tools. - A local blacksmith who probably doesn't want his real name on a random mod page
The Woodcutter's Axe and Pickaxe are not craftable in the vanilla game but would be much easier to make than most weapons or armor.
This mod makes tools like those, lockpicks, and clutter tools craftable. The Ancient Nordic Pickaxe can be forged at the Skyforge after you've completed Glory of the Dead and one of the quests that normally gets you an Ancient Nordic Pickaxe. Lockpicks can be crafted if the player has both the Steel Smithing and Novice Locks perks.
The mod also comes with a C.O.C.K.S. config that sorts these items and fishing rods into the Tools category, since they're not normal weapons.
