THE GIST
Balanced enhanced versions of all armor and weapons have been added to shop inventories. However, the player will need to save their coin if they expect to afford a set of these enhanced items.

THE GOAL

Give players the opportunity to roleplay as non-craftsman while having access to balanced tempered versions of armor and weapons. This mod is intended to blend in and be experienced as if it were an original feature of vanilla Skyrim. It was intentionally designed to improve immersion and reduce the chance a player says to themselves, "this item is from a mod".

THE DETAILS

This mod adds new leveled-lists to blacksmith and fletcher inventories. These leveled lists include an extensive variety of items from Skyrim Special Edition and Creation Club content. 378 Flawless versions of weapons and armor have been created and integrated into shop inventories. Most new items have a 20% chance to appear in a shop's inventory. In general, a shop's inventory will not be flooded with Flawless items; instead, the player should see them sprinkled amongst other items.
Blacksmiths now have the possibility of having Flawless versions of any armor or weapon (excluding crossbows) in their inventory. As crossbows are sold by Fletchers in Skyrim, they now have the possibility of selling Flawless versions of all crossbows (but not Flawless versions of armor and other weapons).
These Flawless versions of weapons and armor are not enchanted; however, they can be enchanted by the player like other gear. Flawless gear have already been tempered by skilled craftsman and cannot be tempered further.
Each Flawless item has its name altered to include "(Flawless)" as if it were tempered by the player. The defense and damage values have been increased by 7 for armor and weapons, respectively. The only exception are cuirass's (chest armor), wherein they receive a bump of 13 to their defensive value. In addition, all armor (excluding shields) have been given the keyword "Survival_Warm" to improve their warmth rating. Brief descriptions--reflecting their enhancements--have been added to each Flawless item.
To justify these enhancements, each new item's Gold value has been multiplied by 4. This price-point was chosen based on typical tempered Flawless item prices, as well as taking into consideration the values of higher tier gear. Additionally, Flawless gear will have a chance to appear in shop inventories at least 3 player levels higher than their base item. For example, an "Iron Sword" appears in a blacksmith's inventory starting at level 1. An "Iron Sword (Flawless)" has a chance to appear at level 4. In general, Flawless items will appear before other higher tier gear, but will cost a little more than their high-tier equivalent.
In some cases, certain blacksmiths have the possibility of selling items unique to their shop. The blacksmith in Solitude, for example, will sell enhanced Imperial gear. No other smith in Skyrim or Soltheim sell these items (with the exception of Flawless Imperial crossbows from fletchers). Other shops sell items unique to their location as lore and logic lead.
So, Flawless Bonemold, Netch leather, and Stalhrim gear are only available in Solstheim. Flawless Stormcloak gear can only be found in the Windhelm Blacksmith's shop inventory. The Dawnguard smith exclusively carries Flawless Dawngaurd gear, naturally. And Eorlund Greymane is the only smith that offers Flawless versions of Skyforge Steel weapons.

INSTALLATION

These new leveled-lists have been added directly into the merchant chests (blacksmiths and fletchers). Therefore, if the player has previously visited these shops in their current save, the items will not appear. It is possible they will appear after a reset of their inventory (but I'm not certain). It's also possible other mods will overwrite the changes in this mod. If this is the case, simply move this mod below the others if this mod's content is desired over others' (mods that load last will overwrite mods previously loaded if their content changes the same things).
