A Note on Feature Requests I am the "porter" of this mod, not its creator. I have no current plans to expand/change the mod's functionality, and this mod will mostly remain a direct port of the original.

A Note for Users Having Issues Finding Options (and Former AFT Users) Outfit management and all other features from AFT are still in iAFT.
If you are having issues finding features, you can go to the MCM and change "Dialogue Menu" to "AFT Menu". This reverts iAFT's dialogue to "Follower Options", similar to AFT. Some options can be found directly in the MCM as well.
While not strictly required for the mod's core functionality, the MCM requires SKSE64 and SkyUI, which are highly recommended. They are fully functional, and SKSE64 is officially out of Alpha as of the update to support the official game 1.5.39 patch.
AFT SE Patch Compatibility with iAFT SE
AFT - USSEP Patch beta1 - iAFT is compatible with USSEP by default, as long as it is loaded AFTER (as 99.9% of mods should be). The USSEP patch from AFT is incompatible, and may break iAFT due to the FollowerDialogue quest being handled differently between the two mods.
AFT_iNPC Alpha SSE Fix - Patch for iAFT+3DNPCs provided on this page. This should be used instead of AFT's, as they are implemented differently.
AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost (Original Official vers.) - Incompatible. iAFT already increases the active follower limit to 30, and managed follower limit to 90, using the Leadership ability.
AFT_NoDances - Patch provided on this page that works without a plugin.
AFT_NoFriendlySpellDamage - Compatible.
AFT - Dragonborn Patch - Compatible. Still required with the USSEP and DLC update from this page if you intend to use the non-standard followers (Dwarven Automatons/Rieklings) in Dragonborn. Ensure you read that patch's ReadMe, as additional console commands are required to fix Riekling followers, even with the plugin.
Valdacil's Item Sorting Patch for AFT SE - Compatible.
Troubleshooting Information New Game Disclaimer Certain issues may arise by installing this on an existing modded save. These can be hard to track down and fix.
If you are having an issue and did not start using iAFT in a new game, please create a new game for testing to see if you still have the issue in that save, before reporting the issue.
Compatibility Disclaimer If you suspect the issue to be a "mod conflict", then it is not a "bug", so please do not report it as such. Instead, post here with your mod list (preferably using either Pastebin, Modwat.ch, or a Spoiler tag), and a brief description of the issue you're having. Some experienced community members may be able to determine and help you with your problem.
Why my active follower limit just limit to 12 follower, after that i can't invite a follower. I already used the leadership spell, but it's not making a change. Please someone help
So this isn't half as functional as the original mod. Not even 1/4th the ability. Going back to the original. If this gets updated to have at least the options in the original I might check it out again. First one was also more immersive as it didn't throw up a giant menu on screen all the time trying to use it. Some of the commands were as simple as activating your follower and then clicking the target object to interact/attack/steal.
I've been having one type of trouble with this mod with no way to really troubleshoot it; posting if anyone can assist. Mainly, on my current play-through and some other recent ones, I can't get a second follower to follow no matter what I do. Only the first follower will actually follow me. I can recruit people just fine, but they stay put and keep doing their routines. Does anyone have any idea what might be interfering with iAFT?
Also, trying to replace it with NFF caused my save to become corrupted, even after carefully following the uninstallation directions. I'm going to use NFF in the future, but not for my current run-throughs.
Vanilla followers or modded ones like Inigo, Lucien, etc? The vanilla ones are automatically loaded with AFT by design, however you don't have to use AFT commands on them. The only AFT "command" per se that I'm aware of that automatically effect all followers is it disables the flag to let a potential follower know if you already have a follower in your party, thus allowing you to have several vanilla followers at once.
Most of the good modded followers do not count against your follower county anyway, thus allowing you to have Janessa, Lydia, Faendal, Lucien, Sofia and Inigo (for example) all in one party. NOTE: I've done this and I can tell you that after a while the followers will REALLY get in each other's way. Constantly talking over each other (THAT gets annoying), and getting in each others way (and yours!), cluttering up doorways so you can't get through, etc. It is a cool idea to have 10 followers charging with you on a battle field, but it becomes a royal pain in the ass when you try to take more than about 3 of them into a dungeon together.
NOTE: Inigo and Lucien (and a couple of other mods) were adapted to work together by their mod authors and are a real blast to use together. Those are more of an exception than the rule however.
You shouldn't use this with other follower mods in my experience, unless they are compatible through a patch or design to be. And to answer the load order, as long as you are sure it will not break either follower mod, the lower one will take priority, but you may lose the functions of the higher one. edit can be a way to see, it depends on how it has been designed, they should say how compatible they are and what is likely to break when used with other mods of the same or similar type. Do your research, make notes, be as sure as you can, so you can enjoy your game later.
My suggestion? Place your follower mods below AFT. You don't want AFT to overwrite your follower any more than absolutely necessary. For most follower mods as long as you are not using the "hard commands" from AFT on the follower you should be fine. Instead use the commands that are specific to that follower. As for how do you know which commands are AFT vs which are from the follower mod? The only way I know of to answer that question is to load AFT only, and make a run over to Riverwood on a new game. recruit Faendal or Sven and then speak to them. Take a look at your AFT options.
Now load in your fav follower mod (without AFT) and notice the different options. Once you see it in-game at least once it becomes pretty obvious which are which.
I'm so grateful to have this mod again but I wish someone would fix the Wait function. Before, you could tell your follower to stop and they would stop right there and not go on. Now, it's listed as Wait and they move around and engage with enemies. Good luck keeping your follower alive when he's more than half dead and is hellbent on killing a dragon.
Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust that? Maybe I'm missing a setting or something. I'm using the AFT menu.
there are 2 menus - MCM and in-game - also there are mods made since this mod, (since the anniversary edition) that could fill that hole if they're compatible. Check as always that you do not have another mod that interferes with follower functions, use XEdit to view mods, and/or an online search for similar issues may help. LOOT can be a good indicator/reminder of available patches and other notes. The Auther moved on some years ago, so you have to do the leg work yourself, however, this is a very comprehensive general follower manager and does work, but you will have to play-test it without other mods to test the function. Strong advice starting a new game/char/save for best effect, and don't uninstall this and install replacement follower manager after you start, it will not end well. Uninstalling scripted mods is a bad idea in general and will lead to problems unless you are lucky or you know what you're doing. Every load order is unique and modding Skyrim is best done slowly and properly, start small and build, add what you need, not just what sounds good, check compatibility along the way, double-check if not sure, and make notes about important info from mod disruption and Comment sections, as you will most likely forget later. I learnt the hard way to rush in and not pay attention to details.
Really good advice, thanks. The only thing I have that might be possibly interfering, (although I don't see how, it didn't in LE) is Relationship Dialogue Overhaul. I've tried both the regular AFT menu and the Immersive and I can't get the follower to wait without wandering. It's like it's in permanent auto-relax mode. I've tried using the settings to disable auto-relax, but that doesn't change it. He will still engage in battle even if I tell him to wait or wander off to the fire, bed, etc.
