About this mod

Why do npcs always pester you to steal things for them? I mean, you don't LOOK like a thief? Right? Unless you're wearing distinguishable thieves armor, gained notoriety by belonging to the guild, or are just a well known pick-pocket, no one has any reason to ask.

Tweaked the following quests to only be offered if certain conditions are met:

  • Brenuin's quest: Argonian Ale Extraction
  • Degaine's quest: Steal the statue of Dibella
  • Revyn Sadri's quest: That Was Always There (return Viola's ring)
  • Ondolemar's quest: Search and Seizure (steal Ogmund's amulet)
  • Radiant quest: Some Light Theft (steal letter for Dengeir of Stuhn)
  • Radiant quest: Some Light Theft (acquire Staff of Arcane Authority for Seloth)
  • Radiant quest: Some Light Theft (retrieve Double-Distilled Skooma for Stands-In-Shallows)
  • Louis Letrush's quest: Promises to Keep (steal Frost from Maven)

Choose between 3 options!

  • SIFT - Armor Edition
Npcs will recognize you by your thieves guild outfit. Works with regular and improved thieves guild armor, master thieves armor, and Linwe's armor. Blackguard armor included if you have the DLC. Did not implement Nightingale armor as it wouldn't make sense, considering it is unknown to outsiders. Only the cuirass is needed to pass the conditional check. Let me know in the comments if I missed something.


  • SIFT - Guild Edition
Npcs will recognize you as part of the thieves guild and ask for your help.


  • SIFT - Pickpocket Edition
Available quests depend on your pickpocket skill level:

Argonian Ale Extraction = 20
That Was Always There = 25
Some Light Theft = 35
Search and Seizure = 40
Steal the statue of Dibella = 50
Promises to Keep = 60


NOTES:

  • Some Light Theft is no longer a prerequisite to Dark Ancestor. Talk to Dengeir to start Dark Ancestor after level 10, as per vanilla.

  • Louis Letrush has been provided with a simple sandbox package so he is no longer stuck waiting awkwardly by the door until you greet him. He will now relax at the Bee and Barb all day. Dude has to have some life! Reverts to default package once conditions are met.

  • Safe to install/update mid-game, obviously won't work with quests that are already in progress.
