About this mod
Throw them. Swing them. Wear them. A miracle of magical engineering in the form of cabbage-based armaments.

5 years ago, I introduced the concept of Throwable Cabbages to the world of Skyrim. While the attempt was admirable, it was also incredibly low-effort and of dubious quality. Today, I bring you the enhanced 2025 remaster of that mod; with several new features at a level of effort and quality slightly above the bare minimum.
Throwable Cabbages - 2025 Edition brings back all of your old favorites from the previous mod -- with updated visuals and mechanics -- plus an additional 5 new varieties of throwable cabbages, and four other pieces of non-throwable cabbage equipment for endless hours of enjoyment.
Cabbages deal damage of various types when thrown at enemies, and most will also stagger or knockback the target. Additionally, cabbages can typically be picked up immediately after hitting a target, allowing unlimited reuse (assuming you can find where it rolled away to). Exceptions are listed in the detailed Cabbage descriptions below. All cabbages also have their effect damage and/or duration scale with one or more skills, and will also grant experience in that skill upon landing a successful hit. Most cabbages level One-Handed, and cabbages that deal an elemental or magical effect type will also level the matching spell skill. Skills increase Cabbage base damage by 5% per skill point, and effects with durations increase by 1% per skill point.
All items added by this mod are crafted at the Cooking Pot (or spit, or whatever cooking workstation you prefer). Each recipe requires at least 1 Cabbage, and most require an additional item or two (that you probably already have hundreds of rotting in some chest in Breezehome).
The main files of this mod include meshes based on the Vanilla cabbage mesh, and should work with any texture replacers you use that don't alter that mesh's texture UV. The alternate mesh addon changes these meshes to match Krieste's Cabbage mod, and has that mod as a hard requirement.

The Cabbages
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Incendiary Cabbage: Cabbage with a spicy kick. Deals fire damage instantly and a smaller amount over time, on top of the usual stagger and knockback effects. Mainly utilizes Destruction for damage and experience, but also levels One-Handed slightly. Requires Cabbage + Fire Salts.
-Frozen Cabbage: The freezer-burned produce you didn't think to throw out. Deals Frost damage to enemy Health and Stamina, and applies a slowing effect for a short duration. Has slightly more impact force, being able to knockback heavier targets than most cabbages. Utilizes Destruction for frost damage and experience, but also levels One-Handed slightly. Requires Cabbage + Frost Salts.
-Rotten Cabbage: It hurts almost as bad as it smells. Deals Poison damage to targets instantly and over time, and also reduces their maximum health for a short duration. Additionally, targets who aren't immune will be inflicted with a random disease. Primarily scales with and levels Destruction skill. Requires Cabbage + Namira's Rot.
-Clockwork Cabbage: A jittery little ball of electrocution. Deals Shock damage when thrown, and spawns a Clockwork Cabbage minion to aid you in combat for 1 minute. The Clockwork Cabbage deals Shock damage with all attacks, and also explodes for additional Shock damage upon death. While this cabbage's abilities don't scale with your skill, they will increase in damage every 10 levels, up to level 30. Additionally, the Shock damage of the initial throw scales with and levels your Destruction skill. Requires Cabbage, Void Salts and Dwemer Metal Ingot; some of which can be salvaged from dead Clockwork Cabbages if you're feeling thrifty.
Note: For obvious reasons, this cabbage cannot be picked up and reused after being thrown.
-Bloodied Cabbage: A cabbage covered in gore. It's as repulsive as it sounds. Coats targets in cursed blood that siphons their health to you. Absorption amount increases with Destruction skill. Requires Cabbage + Human Flesh.
-Haunted Cabbage: Horrors beyond human comprehension. Inflicts Fear against targets for 1 minute, and deals a small amount of Magic damage over time to feared targets. Fear duration and magic damage scale with Illusion skill. Requires Cabbage + Human Skull.
-Mind Control Cabbage: A totally normal cabbage, nothing out of the ordinary. Hypothetically, though, if it were to say, latch onto someone's face, it could potentially cause them to fight for you for 30 seconds. Allegedly. If it were true, its duration would probably scale with Illusion skill. Requires Cabbage + Vampire Dust.
Note: The Mind Control cabbage cannot be picked up if fired at the ground, and can only be retrieved after it detaches from a target.
-Ghostly Cabbage: There really are a lot of horror-themed cabbages this time around, huh? This one will deal Magic damage to targets with souls, siphoning some of their Magicka to you and also filling a Soul Gem if they die within 30 seconds. Primarily utilizes Destruction, but the Soul Trap effect also grants Conjuration experience. Requires Cabbage + Ectoplasm.
-Meridia's Cabbage: Possibly a Daedric artifact, but most likely just a counterfeit made by a hardcore undead hater. Deals a bit of Magic damage to living targets, but does significantly more to Undead, and turns them for 30 seconds. Gives Restoration experience, which also increases both the Magic damage and Turn Undead duration. Requires Cabbage + Glow Dust.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Punching Cabbages: They're like boxing gloves made of cellulose. A unique pair of Fist weapons that scale with One-Handed, and can also be enchanted if you so desire. Pay attention to the labels, now: the Right one goes on your Right hand, and the Left one on your Left hand. Don't get them mixed up! Crafted with Cabbage and Leather Strips, and can be tempered at the grindstone with more Cabbages. Damage of the Punching Cabbages is also increased by the Wearable Cabbage.
-The Cabbajack: Made by the same counterfeiter who makes those Meridia cabbages, no doubt. A staff that consumes regular Cabbages to cast one of the 10 other throwable cabbages at random. Cabbages fired from the Cabbajack can be picked up and reused as Throwables (with the exception of the Clockwork Cabbage and misfired Mind Control Cabbages). Firing cabbages with this staff doesn't level up One-Handed or any of the regular skills, but does level your Conjuration; effects will still scale from the other skills, however. Crafting requires an unenchanted Conjuration staff, a Cabbage, and a Daedra Heart.
Also, minor visual bug: The Mind Control Cabbage can only attach to actors with the appropriately-named Head bone node. Many creatures will have it end up at their feet instead. Not fixing it, cause I think it's funny.
