    INIGO SE is here!

Get Inigo for the original version of Skyrim HERE. The current SE version is essentially the same as V2.3 for the

original Skyrim, with a few tweaks and minor additions. Check the change log for details.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Update instructions:

    • 1. Make sure he isn't riding, waiting, or relaxing.
    • 2. Save the game using the save menu and then quit to the desktop.
    • 3. Replace the Inigo.esp and Inigo.bsa files with the new versions.
    • 5. For those that use any kind of patcher, ASIS etc, be sure to re-run your patcher.
    • 6. Restart the game and continue from the save you made.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Changes:

    • Inigo has been edited in the new CK, tested in SSE, and cleaned with SSEEdit. Landscape edits are intentional. Inigo does not require cleaning.
    • Inigo's eyes were re-built in line with SSE's new meshes.
    • You can now refresh the aliases of npcs that Inigo can talk to with a new option found in the Talking section of the "Mind if I ask you something?" topic if one of them has been altered by another mod. The new option is "Think about the people you'd like to talk to. Maybe you're forgetting someone?" (Please read the description page section on npc scenes before reporting an issue.)
    • A new way to start the spider conversation has been added for those who use a spider replacement mod. It will now be available once you've settled the matter of your shared past, providing Inigo has fought a number of mudcrabs.
    • All random dialogue quests can be shut down manually with an option that appears at the top of his main topic list if one of them is running when it shouldn't.
    • Countless lines have been re-conditioned (many fired at a slightly different rate in the SE and have been adjusted to take this into account).
    • A new note has been added called "A load on my mind" that triggers his random loading screens when in Inigo's inventory. Remove it if you don't want to see the custom Inigo loading screens.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Placing Mr D on Inigo's belt in V2.4 -

Since an Inigo MCM isn't currently possible for the Special Edition, CdCooley has kindly added a way for you to place Mr D on Inigo's belt without it (on by default). The guy's a genius, what can I say. Use the console command below, replacing the # with the number corresponding with the option you prefer: (0 = not visible, 1 = large back, 2 = small back, 3 = small front)

    setpqv InigoStatus ShowMrD #

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CDcooley has also added a few new commands for recovering Inigo and his gear. See the "I lost him!

I lost his stuff!" section of the FAQ on the description page for details.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watch this video guide to learn about Inigo's most important features

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WARNING: Do not try to control Inigo with options from other mods.
    You will break his brain!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watch the User Guide Video and read the FAQ before asking a question or reporting an issue.

Vilja is now available on SE. Grab her here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6722/?

She and Inigo are great friends and have hundreds of scenes together (see Vilja page for info on how to introduce them).

    WHEN IS V3 COMING???

I'm currently working on V3 (where Inigo's quest will continue and end). If I have to stop for some unexpected reason this post will disappear. V3 is massive. It will take as long as it takes. If you ask when it's coming out you will just be referred to this message.

You can find V3 preview material at http://friendsofinigo.com/exclusive_v3_preview_material

Indigo is without any doubt THE best character AND follower in ANY RPG.

I love him almost as much as I am in AWE of SmartBlueCat!

I am getting some weird "loot" warnings everything has been running great for over a year BUT now I get the "SSEdit 4.0.0 has found 17 ITM and tells me I should do a "quick clean" funny thing is I did dl the latest "loot" but I am still using the earlier version of SSEdit 3.4.4 , any ideas as to why it is going sideways at this time? I did run them (several other mods that were all good are now "dirty") and NONE of them show any problem (no ITM or del files at all) can't figure it out will accept any help thanks

      Do NOT clean Inigo!

As the versions of Loot and SSEdit change, what they decide to detect as problems also changes, and they are detecting some things that are intentional, and/or are NOT problems. I can't speak for other mods, but Inigo is cleaned before being posted, and anything remaining is there on purpose, and should not be removed or changed. The authors of SSEdit and Loot even say to always check with the mod creator before cleaning things, as blindly cleaning things can damage the mods, and may mess up your save game. Some "ITM"s may be in a mod because the mod depends on some element of the vanilla game being there, exactly where it is in vanilla, and including that in the mod ensures that it overwrites any other mods that change/remove that needed item. There are also instances where (as in Inigo) a dialogue line is hung on the proximity of a vanilla object, and SSEdit can read that as the mod including the vanilla object, and tags it as an "ITM" (Identical To Master). If those references are then removed, those dialogue lines will not fire. In this case, it won't break Inigo, just make a few lines of content unavailable, but it is by far best to just not mess with the Inigo files, and not clean him. Cats take care of that themselves.

I believe the newer versions of SSEdit also detect things other then ITMs and Deleted References, and those other things are also not always errors. Always check with the mod support/documentation before cleaning.

Thanks for the reply, rest assured that I have not cleaned Inigo, I was just checking if anyone else had seen the same results with this and yes other mods that are fine one time and then loaded with various "ITM" the next time you play such as one profile is great and runs fine all copacetic... make an exact copy and rename for another start at different location only and then poof 6-10 mods are now filled with errors etc.... if it ain't broke don't fix it, for that profile I took out the mods (unchecked only) then restarted the game, all ok, log out and rechecked the mods active then restarted and behold no errors, same mods /not updated or fixed / go figure

That sounds like an issue/oddity of your mod manager. Which one you are you using? It is just a guess, but most likely when you copied and renamed the profile, it thought it was a new profile, so decided to scan all of the mods again, as it had no idea you had already checked everything in the other profile. *shrugs* So you essentially had to pat it on the head, say "yes, yes, that is all fine, ignore all that", and then it settled down again. This would be better addressed under support for your mod manager.

I must say, I wanted to play with Inigo for a long time already but for some reason hold off for a long time. Finally installed him and really love it! My favorite follower and friend so far!

I like his honesty too, when he told me "Watching you fighting one handed is like watching a fish trash arround with an arrow through it's eye."
I thought I was doing decent in Skyrim untill he told me his opinion =/.

Hey are you planning on updating INIGO for future Beyond Skyrim expansions the same way Lucien is going to be update and be given more quests for the expansions? cuz if yes then that'd be truly amazing.

Hello, Gary is currently working on the completion of V3, which you can consider as Inigo's own DLC if you look at the preview material stickied above. This will take its time. If there is content added afterwards, the official DLC Dawnguard and Dragonborn are the next in line. So the answer for Bruma or any other custom mods and expanions sadly has to be no for the foreseeable future.

Yes, so? Building a DLC-sized mod by himself, while also working to support himself in the real world takes time. I am in frequent contact with Gary, and he now and then shares tidbits of what he is working on. Please take my word for it, work IS progressing. If he stopped to upload new spoiler materials every month, that would take considerable time away from his actually completing the mod. I, for one, would rather he spend that time getting V3 done. So: work is still progressing, he has not stopped, nor is he stalled out, he has not hit any insurmountable problems. Patience is a virtue.

CAN I JUST SAY, SMARTBLUECAT, THAT I LOVE YOUR WORK.

Seriously. I just entered Sightless Pit in Winterhold Hold and Inigo said "This place smells like that horrible lighthouse we explored. Wonderful." Both areas have Falmer enemies--but you coded it to make him say that only if I'd explored the lighthouse first. Something about that is just so awesome.

    SmartBlueCat,
My hat's off to you. I finally decided to give Inigo a go after seeing his picture and rave reviews for several years. At first I had avoided him b/c I didn't want to be unduly accused of "copying" him (already had that with Vilja, which I did not appreciate, finally had to put my foot down on her page). But I'm SO. GLAD. I. DID (tried him, not copied!). I'm constantly floored by the effort and work you put into making such a fun, immersive companion! Even found a way to make a Summon Inigo spell immersive, which I thought was absolutely amazing.
Many people used to ask me for interactions with Inigo, but as I hadn't gotten to know him yet, I couldn't, didn't feel right. But now.... Any chance you'd consider a collaboration? We have a detection system in place and can include it in Anna NPCs. If you're too busy I understand, thanks for listening (reading) :)

I brought this to Gary's attention, and you should be hearing from him. Be warned, he is neck-deep in working on Inigo V3.0, so I don't know how much time he will have.

Haha, right, I'd forgotten about that! While Anduniel was *inspired* by Vilja (and by *many* others), there are pretty clear differences, apparent to anyone who's actually played Anduniel.

It does work as in Inigo can accompany you there without problems, many have done this before. But he won't have any awareness of things not already familiar to him, he has no dialogue for the location, people, quests etc, many of his commentary and features work only in the Skyrim worldspace so he will be a lot quieter than you are use to. But there are no technical issues to worry about. Having acquired his summon spell before you take him there is a good idea however

I literally left Fallout 4 just to return to Skyrim and play around with Inigo again. This is the best follower mod I have ever seen. Not to mention I did have a day where I was feeling like garbo, but thanks to the "I'm feeling kinda down" selection, I could talk to Inigo about my problem. Despite him being a modded character, he still lifted my spirits. Plus he is extremely funny. This should be more popular.

There is a Spanish translation of the Oldrim Inigo v2.2, but I don't know if there is one for the SE version, or the updated Oldrim version. That may be what you have seen before. There is a link for that on the Oldrim Inigo page, but the esp would not work right with SE. Contact the previous translator, and see if they will make an updated SE version, given they already have most of the work for it done.
