SCOTOPIA - A NIGHT EYE SPELL

This mod adds a small dungeon which contains the tome for the spell Scotopia - a spell that allows the player to see better in the dark.

Many other modders have added the spell in one way or another, but this was practice for me to learn the Creation Kit and add the spell in the way I wanted to. I aimed for this mod to be lore-friendly, immersive, and compatible. I'm considering making some more simple, lore-friendly spell mods, so if this is something you guys like let me know and I may upload more in the future! Also let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve Scotopia, and I'll see what I can do.

The Spell

Scotopia is simply a converted form of the Khajiit night eye racial ability into spell form, with a duration of 5 minutes. As such, the spell has the same graphical effect as the vanilla version - blurred edges and all. How effective and how the spell looks will change depending on your graphical settings, and any graphics mods you have installed. Casting the spell while the effect is still active will turn night vision off.

The spell tome is worth 200 gold, so even if you're not a mage it may be worth selling.

Scotopia is an apprentice level Illusion spell, and influenced by the relevant Illusion perks.

Where to Find the Spell Tome

The spell tome is found in a chest at the end of a small, low level dungeon known as Dark Descent, just North of Helgen, at coordinates (4,-17). I have uploaded an image of its location, with Dark Descent circled in red. The dungeon lies just East of the starting cave.

Compatibility

I designed this mod with compatibility in mind. No leveled lists have been changed, and only 1 vanilla cell was altered. I have added an entrance to Dark Descent in the Tamriel worldspace at (4,-17), so Scotopia will be incompatible with any other mods that change this cell. Other than that, Scotopia should be compatible with everything.

If you find any incompatibilities let me know and I'll try to fix or mitigate them, or at the very least post them here.

Scotopia has been cleaned with SSEEdit.
