Unfortunately it does not work in AE (hotkeys do nothing). It was working up until 1.6.640, but not with newer versions. A shame since I really liked this mod, hopefully someone will make an alternative one day.
The mod is creating suspended script bloat in my saves. My latest mod additions, for a completely new playthrough, are hunterborn, frostfal, campfire etc. Is this safe to remove mid playthrough?

A suggestion for the future - include a Drop Torch spell. I use this in VR and with VRIK and giving up the left thumb-click as a hotkey removes a whole lot of VRIK options for other things (click and move down, click and move up, etc). If there were a spell to drop it, I could use a VRIK gesture to cast the spell.
Using with VR I can drop torches when equiping from VRIK holster. I can assign a controller button to drop torches. I can assign a controller button to equip torches. I can grab torches with HIGGS and use button to equip them. (wish I had that for weapons and armor)

If you want the torches that you drop to light pools and Dragonborn Natural Gas Clouds, there is a mod that does this, it's called Torches Light Oil. But maybe you don't want to add a whole mod just for this.
Torch1 [ID:0001d4ec] ___ Load up the Mod in SSEEdit. Find Form ID [00082E15] "TrapGasOnEnter" by using the search bar at the top left and "copy as override..." into the mod. Then modify the record by adding "Torch1" to the list of Form IDs listed, X out of xEdit (It will ask you to save and close), patch it as necessary.
My findings show that if you are using a lightning mod like RLO with the effects option ticked (stuff that change lighting FX) upon dropping your torches will not emit light. It will be fine when equipped but bugged when dropped. There really needs to be a patch for such effects changes on lighting mods.
I just looked further down, and apparently its been an issue for a while. I tried doing what he suggested and getting another mod that brightens torches, but it didnt work for me with RLO...
Same issue with ELFX, except mine only emit light during the day. Interior cell or not, it doesn't seem to matter. If it is dark outside the torches wont work.
Hi, I'm posting here as well because I'm using iEquip, which has drop torches that apparently works the same as this mod (I was using this with similar problems before I discovered iEquip) and some here may or may not have a solution. I see a number of people have reported that their dropped torches don't emit light and I'm having a similar issue. However I've noticed that this only happens to me at night, whether I am in an interior cell or not is irrelevant; if it is night outside a dropped torch does not work, if it is day, it does. I have tried crazz2323's solution below but it did not work for me and ENB for some unknown reason drop my FPS by 40. Relevant lighting mods include Obsidian Weathers with Darker Nights, ELFX, and Obsidian ReShade, along with Realistic Torches and Infinite Torch.
