Animallica - Lore Edition Redux ~ Animallica SE - Skyrim Wildlife Overhaul ~ Leveled List Object Swapper

This is a conversion of Animallica SE and Animallica Lore Edition Redux to Leveled List Object Swapper.

I like to mash-up as many Wildlife mods together as humanly possible. This is generally a huge mess, which can be fun, but it's also a big chore to sort out all of the edits made to races and factions, and the traditional merging of the leveled lists. Now, with runtime patchers, it's possible to merge a lot of these mods together using configuration files instead of xEdit patching. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good xEdit leveled list patch, but I thought it would be a good exercise to convert the wildlife mods I like to SPID, Skypatcher, & co., to make the whole mess modular and to reduce (increase?) headaches when using multiple at once.

This means you can use these mods together without conflict issues.





Wildlife mods, because of the way Skyrim handles this data, naturally have a ton of conflicts as they all tend to touch the same records. This mod removes most (in some cases all) of the conflicting records from the mod and moves them to LLOS.

I have a couple of these conversions in the works; using the Skyrim Safari versions of these mods together should not produce these kinds of plugin-conflict issues, meaning you should be able to use them together without the majority of additional patches. This is because most of the changes to the records involved are additive - adding items to containers or lists, adding faction relationships, etc., and most of the ESP patches for these mods merge lists, which you don't have to do using SPID et al. There are parts of mods that could not be converted (for example, Toads and Frogs makes changes to the rabbit idle animation records, which I have no idea how that works), but for anything convertible, I'm doing my best to capture each mod as faithfully as possible and reproduce it in configuration files.

Requirements

• Leveled List Object Swapper and the crash fix
• Animallica SE - Skyrim Wildlife Overhaul
• Animallica - Lore Edition Redux SE
  

• Install Animallica SE - Skyrim Wildlife Overhaul (Main plugin, not the Lore-Friendly version).
• Install Animallica - Lore Edition Redux SE (just the main file).
• Install this mod and let it overwrite the above.
• If you do not want the "non-lore" animals (the ones excluded from the non-lore originals), hide or remove the "Animallica - Non-Lore Animals_LLOS.ini" file.
  

This mod will be incompatible with any patch / mod that adds the Leveled Lists back to Animallica.

• Animallica SE - Less Bright Animals - Compatible if you delete the ESP
• Animallica SE - Lore Friendly - Not required
• Animallica SE - Lore Friendly with Less Bright Animals - Use the above
• Arachnophobia version - Not compatible
• Deer Pack - Not compatible
• Animallica - Otters SE Patch - No longer needed
• More cautious predators for Animallica Lore Edition Redux - Untested, should be compatible
• Bears of the North, Fluffworks - Untested, should be compatible
• Animallica - LL Injection - SkyPatcher - Not compatible
  

• Separated out the "Lore" from the "Non-Lore" animals into two different configs. If you want to
  remove the non-lore animals, just delete that file.
• Removed leveled lists from the plugin.
  

About 95% of this collection is not my work. This is a conversion of a set of mods that I love that was requested on Reddit when I mentioned it, so, here you go! I made these mainly for my own use, so they're not really tested. Please let me know if you find errors or have requests. And I'm I'm using your work and you don't want me to, please let me know and I'll correct course.



All of the mods in this series do basically the same thing:

• Convert leveled lists, containers, factions, formlists, etc. to configuration files
• Remove those records from the ESP.
  

Meaning that any patch or plugin that adds back any of the things removed will cause unintended effects.



Skypatcher can do most of what these other tools can do on its own (with a few caveats). I'm planning to include Skypatcher when it makes sense, and there are Skypatcher conversions of a few of these (including Animallica) available on the Nexus, so check them out as a good alternative.
