Spell Research is an incredible mod. In fact, it's probably MORE incredible than many realize. There is an entire, complex alchemy system in the mod that many players overlook because it's unfortunately very confusing. I played several games where I broke down every potion I looted into Spell Research's "solutions", but even by lvl 50 I was lacking what I needed to create many alchemical ingredients from them with no idea what I needed to break down to get them. The system is obfuscated with a Latin-esque naming convention for everything, making it really difficult to determine what breaks down into what.
Also, Ancient Texts. It's annoying trying to remember what script description fits what language, and whether I have the correct translation tomes available.
So, I fixed all of that. (What This Mod Does)
Spell Research Deobfuscated:
All Ancient Text item descriptions include the name of the language they're written in. So you can tell at a glance whether you have a matching translation tome. So they'll be labeled "Ancient Text - Falmer", "Ancient Text - Dwemeris", etc.
Alchemy "solutions" that are created by breaking down potions, ingredients, bones, etc. in the cauldron/alembic are now deobfuscated so the player knows what items break down into what essence types, what they currently have versus what they need to make a given alchemical ingredient, and what specific essences are required - all without the confusing Latin-esque descriptions for everything.
Solutions are also labeled based on their potency. Instead of making up a naming scale you'll likely not remember, I went with a more simple scale of 1 to 5.
So now instead of seeing "Wel sa Adonai" and trying to figure out what the hell that means, you will instead see "Solution - Air 4". Instead of "Rellers ry Molag sa Gravia" you'll see "Solution - Acid 2". This has the additional benefit of everything sorting nicely in storage. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Installation: Install with relevant mod manager or manually if you like to live dangerously.
Uninstall: Safe to remove mid-game as it simply edits existing records, though always remember that even changing load order can potentially break things in the long term.
