Description

Replaces the draw sound effects of 1 handed swords with a more dramatic but less loud shingh when drawn. The sounds are not realistic, but quite cinematic/dramatic!

I was looking for a good sound replacer, so I tried Smooth blade draw and Sheathe mod. The mod did what it was advertised to do - realistic and immersive sound, but I missed the "impact" or presence of the blade Vanilla had. I did not want to use Vanilla however because it was too loud for my taste. I knew I wanted something dramatic, but not as loud as Vanilla. Then I found this video.

What I did was edit the audio files to sync with the weapon draw sounds. Took me a couple of hours, longer than I initially expected, just trying to line up the sound with the animation. End-result is a sword fx that doesn't feel too out of place in the world of Skyrim.

If you find the timing off, please let me know and I'll be happy to adjust the sound fx for you.

Installation

Simply drop the sound folder in Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder.

Uninstall
========================================
Remove the following files in \Skyrim SE\Data\sound\fx\wpn

wpn_blade1hand_draw_01
wpn_blade1hand_draw_02
wpn_blade1hand_draw_03

Compatibility

Should you have a sound fx overhaul, simply install/load my mod after you installed the overhaul.
