THERE ARE NO KNOWN BUGS This mod is unchanged from the Skyrim classic version, and was released in December 2012 ! This mod likely has zero bugs at this point.
I activated the BUGS tab, but allowing people to post random bugs that have nothing at all to do with this one, is just a waste of my time.
Why are there no bugs? It’s essentially Flash (Scaleform) technology used by the game to display menus. It runs in a sandbox pretty much, and as such can not cause incompatibilities with gameplay mods that affect quests, items and such; even if you have hundreds of these mods active. I don't think it can event cound in the mod limit since it changes an asset that is not even documented by Bethesda.
The only "incompatibility" you can have is another mod that changes the Message Box UI , since it will replace the file.
It seems this mod doesn't work in the level up messagebox when choosing which stat to increase between health, stamina, and magicka? Can't use left/right keys to choose, have to use mouse.
EDIT: Nevermind, I saw the reason why you didn't modify it in the LE page. Wish it was easy to edit .swf files so I could do it myself though because I really want that functionality since TapKey does not work with mouse movement.
Installing COMC and Dear Diary broke it. COMC also caused a SKSE error Ill not get in to. I remvoed both, but BMC still does not work. I am assuming that the COMC error has led to this not working corretly now, unless someone can chime in otherwise.
Miss it already aand it's only been 8 minutes\

Reading through a slew of comments I ran in to a DO THIS and a DONT DO THIS reply between 3 people.
I figured why not. So I clicked manual install. Went to common/Skyrim/data/interface and dropped that SWF in there and presto it works again. Seem Dear Diary may have overwritten it
Was your fix here to just make sure the messagebox.swf file came from Better MessageBox Controls instead of Dear Diary? I'm assembling a mod list with both of these myself and I can't find a patch anywhere. I'm assuming using the swf from BMBC will mean it's not using the DD asthetics?
Hell If I can remember. I assume, by what I wrote, I dropped it in the skyrim folder and not via MO2, which is what I use now, and allowed it to merge/overwrite
The ultrawide interface mod linked in the description has been removed from nexus. Is there a replacement mod for it, particularly in the 32:9 aspect ratio? Are there any another mods that has this integrated into it? My MO2 has this mod identified as redundant, but I don't have the ultrawide interface mod, I don't think.
UIEXTENSIONS that is a prereq for somemods, replace this "full" mod (one file btw), does it acts as or should BMBControl replace this file (win conflict ?
Can I use this mod and Better Dialog Controls at the same time? I ask because it seems to change the same file? I am using NMM (Yeah, I know...) Thanks!
Of course. Been a long time I looked at it, but I don't think the mods change the same file. Dialogues and Message Box UX are two different .swf files. They are in the same folder though.
edit: just be aware that some other mods not by me could potentially replace those files too and then they will cancel one another depending which applies last - that's because those SWF files are a single resource that can't be merged. Sometimes those mods have a BDC/BMC fix look in their downloads.
For anyone wondering in the future, NMM sometimes sees items by the same mod author as being the same mod even when they're not, the key is that when it asks about installing another version of the same mod, click 'No> Install Normally'. I regularly repackage mods that are made for other mod managers because I really, really prefer NMM and this actually happens quite frequently if NMM can see that the mods are made by the same author even though they have completely different files inside.
I'll use Zorkaz/ElHa as an example for now, I have all of Zorkaz' Fallout 4 companions Cathy the Brahmin, Smelly the Dog etc. Zorkaz packages their mods as an esp OR an esl, I prefer ESLified esps so I fix the esps myself and repackage and NMM thinks all the different zips are the same thing when they are individual companions so I just select Install Normally because I know full well they are NOT the same mod.
As a previous console player of Bethesda games coming to PC (since over a year ago), I don't even know how PC players managed to enjoy this game withOUT a mod like this!

Never mind on the latter, I figured out how to find it in MO2. My MO2 has DS4 button prompt fixes for ''Complete Widescreen Fix for Vanilla and SkyUI 2.2 and 5.2 SE'' as redundant. Is that true or do I need a patch to make both of these work together?Nvm. Silly me forgot to load the mod..
