Hail Summoner,
conjure me up an warm bridge, would you?

YES?

Hanging fire braziers warming the weary visitor talking to trainers tasked with keeping the troublesome away.

Pretty lore friendly Dunmer lights guiding travelers across the bridge, even in the harshest of blizzards.

Animated college banners blowing in the wind.

Can be installed on an existing save with no issues.

ESL/ESPFE mod, so it doesn’t count towards your plug-in limit.

NO?

No navmesh changes, since nothing is on the path of travel. Just the bridge and nothing else.
That way it can be used with your other Winterhold mods.

DUNMER LANTERNS?

Dunmer lanterns at the college is not lore friendly, right?

Quite the opposite. The real question is: Why are there not more signs of Dunmer culture around the college. It’s been a destination for Dunmer mages ever since Red Mountain errupted. House Telvanni, their largest mage faction had Dunmer lanterns everywhere, just look at Neloth’s place. When they came to Winterhold, they built the Shrine of Azura (sight to see). So why are there are no other signs of their culture, at the college they ran for so long?

It’s really simple. The assets needed to make the college look and feel the way the lore tells it, were not around in 2011 when the game was released. They came later with the Dragonborn DLC.

The foundation of the college are very much ancient Nordic and go back to at least the times of Shalidor (the statue).
Saying there should be no signs of the Dunmer leading the college, is only something Jarl Korir would do.

WHY?

An old project of mine is a college mod, one I dare say is not getting finished.
It’s something I work on when I’m around the college for too long.

Its bridge was always interesting enough to be its own thing as it is not
something that gets a lot of improvements worthy of a modded Skyrim.

My Winterhold weathers tend to be cold and deadly. Blizzards roaring through
town reduce visibility to zero, so I need to see the path at night or risk falling off.

The dunmer lanterns also provide a bit of visual storytelling for what’s going on
between the Jarl and the Dunmer at the college.
