Updating to v2.0 from an older version: Display Tweaks load screen filter users must update the name of the esp to "LoadScreenCompendium.esp" in its ini.
How is this different from *insert mod here*? This mod includes 440 loading screens, more than similar mods on the Nexus. The art they feature has been cleaned of artifacts and upscaled (when necessary) to achieve the highest quality. Each of the images was cropped for 21:9 displays so no important content is lost by simply zooming in on the 16:9 texture. Additionally, it features new art from the Elder Scrolls Legends never used in other mods of this type, as well as art from the Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim concept art, and independent artists. TLDR;more variety and higher quality in both images and text.
Does this contain AI generated art? No, all the art was created by artists. AI was only used as a tool for upscaling, but not strictly, as I manually upscaled each image using Photoshop and combined them with the AI upscaled images to maintain quality.
Will you support other aspect ratios (4:3, 16:10, etc.)? It will take some effort to adapt them. Contact me if you're willing to help test and have a monitor that's not currently supported.
Is this compatible with x UI overhaul? Can't be sure for all of them, but it should be. Nordic UI users must select "No Empty Background" in its FOMOD. Edge UI users, try the Loading Screen Fix; if that doesn't work, try changing "bLoadingHide3D=true" in the config.txt in the "deardiary_dm" folder to false. Widescreen users, grab the Complete Widescreen Fix for Vanilla and SkyUI, which includes Nordic UI support, for best results.
Is this compatible with other loading screen mods? You can technically use it with other mods of its type, but LLSC was meant to be used on its own as a replacement.
Does this mod have conditions/replace vanilla loading screens? Yes. As of v1.2.0, conditions have been added to the ESP to remove vanilla loading screens by default. You can still make use of the load screen filter in SSE Display Tweaks (preferred) or generate a Synthesis patch if you want to make sure no mod-added loading screens will appear. The Synthesis wiki has instructions on how to do this and the repository path is: https://github.com/Jampi0n/Skyrim-DisableVanillaLoadingScreens
I've answered this a few times and it's in the FAQ, but I'll give more detail.
A LOT of new art from the Elder Scrolls Legends that hasn't been featured in any other mod like this. Most of them weren't immediately available on the internet and I had to search extensively to find high resolution sources. Many of the screenshots showcase this new art.
Features art from the Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim concept art, and independent artists, which aren't compiled in the mod you linked or in any other mods like this, as far as I know.
Higher quality. See the screenshots or compare the textures yourself. I cleaned the images of artifacts before upscaling, tweaked contrast and colors, and used high quality sources to begin with. The 4K textures have very high fidelity.
The text is all lore-friendly and painstakingly written.
Not generated using the Easy Loading Screen Generator. It was all done manually. This way none of the textures are stretched across the mesh, since I've made the textures with black borders and tweaked the UV of the meshes accordingly.
The textures for the 21:9 version were specifically cropped so no content is lost by simply zooming in on the 16:9 textures. Additionally, I've provided options for game versions 1.5.x-1.6.640 and 1.6.1130+ to account for Bethesda's official ultrawide support, which creates visual inconsistency with static loading screens if not fixed.
I’m not really familiar with Photo Mode. I’d assume that’s a feature you can turn on/off. If you use the load screen filter from Display Tweaks and whitelist my esp, it should block all other load screens, anyway.
with the photo mode, sometimes it shows a screenshot and sometimes the vanilla ones...so if this just replaces the vanilla...anyway, I am going to try and I come back to tell you
You can turn off the option to show loading screens of your pictures within Photo Mode. It can be very jarring when a screen shot you have taken suddenly pops up! I found out from experience!
Hello, can these images be used as the main menu screen or is it a different format ? It's so rare to find compatible 21:9 images that I'm asking. Happy new year !
There will be black loading screens when loading times are short. If that’s not what you’re referring to, make sure the esp is activated and try on a new save. Otherwise, I don’t have enough info to know what you’re doing wrong.
Loving all the arts and thank you for this great mod!
I notice one thing during testing this mod though. When the game switches to the next load screen, only the text gets changed. The load screen art remains the first one. Is it the intended behavior?
Okay so this is the best loading screen mod but 2.0 does not work for me regardless of what I do on 1.6.640, every other load screen replacer I have tried on nexus works except this one any idea why this is happening with version 2.0?
If you used a previous version and it worked, I can only assume you’re using Display Tweaks and didn’t update the load screen filter with the new name of the esp.

I would love to use the main menu version.
Is this mod considered safe to install mid-playthrough for first-time installers?
