clean installed reshade and followed all the instructions, for some reason the preset won't load any of the settings and the hotkeys don't work edit: corrupt file from nexusmods? deleted ini and redownloaded now it works fine note on performance: around 100 FPS outdoors before running any reshade. with this preset I was usually around 60-70FPS outdoors with gloom dof and both mxao's disabled. with everything enabled I saw more like 50FPS
hello! Thank you for the wonderful reshade. First, I am using Kauz ENB, doodlum's DLAA, and nvidia's upscaler function. Is there a solution that allows me to use this reshade preset in this situation? I tried it once, but the screen flickered a lot and the grass and trees made a lot of noise. Disabling "Fake Ray Trace" by pressing the "Delete" key makes things a little better, but the screen still flickers and the grass and trees in lod continue to have noise. Could you please help me with this??
hey (: i just answered to your post on the ENB site, but this is ofc another problem. some (many) AA techniques affect the depth buffer of the game. Imagine this as a black and white picture, where you see the silouettes of the objects. TAA, FSR and DLAA make these silouettes all fuzzy and flickering, and then shaders that use this as a base will flicker too. well anyway, there is no way around it. You can use either doodlums AA or the fake ray trace. Or you use an upscaler, then you run the Fake Ray Trace before the upscaling.
Thank you for the quick feedback. Or you use an upscaler, then you run the Fake Ray Trace before the upscaling. I don't really understand how this part works, so can you explain it in detail? I'm sorry for being ignorant.
when you use an upscaler (e.g. the paid patreon mod by PureDark which enable FSR or DLAA upscaling) then you can choose in the upscalers settings if you want to render ReShade before or after the upscaling is done. When ReShade renders before the upscaling then it wont suffer from the distorted depth buffer.
I am using nvidia's own upscaler, not the paid mode DLSS. What you explained helped me a lot. Right now I'm trying out the lowest flicker combination that suits my computer specs. I really appreciate your help and I'll let you know again when I find my combination. Thank you very much.
i use the Nolvus modlist (still verison5 as of 2024-12-18), i searched in mo2 and Nolvus seems to use Vivid Landscapes - Orc and Farmhouses (Parallax version) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/84314
