Thanks for this. I actually use this for the sort of the opposite purpose; I use an ENB and really like removing almost all the ambient and direct lighting in interiors in the game, but it tends to make things a little too dark overall . This works really nicely to offset that and makes for a more natural look, when shadows are actually dark, and it's bright and clear where there's light.
Amazing Template, basically saved me from having to setup an entirely different lighting mod with Lexy's LOTD.
However, on the topic of LOTD, I was wondering if it was possible to either a. provide resources for or b. create a patch for Lux LOTD? It seems that patch adds in a new lighting template for LOTD areas, making the museum rather dark in comparison to the rest of the game.
I would do it myself right now, but I honestly have no idea about how to create a good RGB balance, fog distance, etc etc. If you don't feel like creating a patch yourself, I would be happy to do so if you have any resources.
Super possible, however I won't be doing so. You (or anyone reading this) should feel free to do so and you (or anyone) can do it the same way I made this one:
There's an xEdit script that allows you to target a number of records and modify them. I don't remember which I targeted to make this mod, but it was the same values across every light template. So if you use those values and modify them by the same amount this mod does, that's how I made this patch. Go nuts
Hi, is it really worth switching to placed light? I tried it and I think Lux and Lux Orbis + this mod is the better option. Placed light requires you to download lots of mods and it still doesn't match lux's features. You need to download Window Shadows Ultimate to get window shadows and unlike lux, its patches are still incomplete. Another thing is some light sources are not emitting light even though I used synthesis patcher. I would like to know your thoughts. Thanks!
Lux is still a great mod and arguably better than Placed Light because of its maturity. The requirements for Placed Light are just mods I was already running because I used CS, so the fact that it requires a few more mods than Lux is not really a big deal to me. I do also run Window Shadows, which probably isn't fully patched for my load order, but I like it.
If some of your light sources aren't emitting light, you may need ENB light or Light Limit Fix. Idk. There are many things that could be causing that, unfortunately.
Here's a link to the before and after pictures I used to make those sliders. I even added a few more. You should be able to just upload them as normal images in the order I have them in the folder. That way the user can just flip back and forth with their keyboard.

Hope this helped!
It's so great not having to be blind in a dungeon.
Every room is explorable without a guide dog :))
Thanks so much, bro
