I'm a fan of Jean Gilpin and how she voiced Meridia, I thought it was just the right tone for being a proud daedric prince, a Goddess of Light.
That being said, I use a mod I that increases the volume of voices, to better hear them in conversations. And it has caused the meme-worthy "A new hand touches the beacon" to make me want to jump out of my skin, every time.
A while ago I searched on Nexus and found mods that silence her, revoice her, make her even more jarring.. and now a recent one that has her use a Courier to deliver the beacon to you! XD But none that simply make her quieter. So that's what I did.
There are three volume level options, individual downloads so you don't waste bandwidth. I have used all three volumes and recommend the -10 or -20 decibel ones, unless you want to barely hear her... then use the -30, it's verrry quiet.
To make them, I grabbed the voice FUZ files from the Skyrim BSA, converted them to WAV files using the Yakitori Audio Converter. Then I reduced their volumes in Audacity and reconverted them back to FUZ format.
Hope you find this useful. It has no plugin so you can add/remove it at any time.
Known incompatibilities:
Anything that revoices Meridia. If you have revoiced files as part of a compendium, just let this one overwrite them.
