When you first tore Auriel's Shield from the corpse of that one Falmer, you marveled at its unique design! Then you put it away in a chest forever. Never again! Pour Serana's blood on the Aedric shield, cursing it into the powerful Aegis of Coldharbour!

Auriel's Shield is, frankly, underwhelming. Especially if you're playing a vampire who completed the prophecy of the Tyranny of the Sun!
Enter: the Aegis of Coldharbour, the Bloodcursed form of Auriel's Shield. Here's how it's different:
For each charge, the wielder gains 1% Magicka Absorption while the shield is equipped.
While the Aegis is charged, the wielder can power bash with it to cast a moderately powerful blood magic spell, expending a single charge.
To get it, talk to Serana with Auriel's Shield in your inventory after completing the final main mission of Dawnguard DLC. Note: Serana must still be a vampire. If she is cured, she can't Bloodcurse the shield.
