Hi! Does knocking out an NPC from stealth with a blunt weapon still do all the sneak attack damage it would normally do? If not is there an easy way to make it so it does? I would also like to know if followers will attack knocked out enemies and if you attack from stealth and are undetected, if you get a bounty. Thank you for the promising mod and I hope a combat expansion is still on the horizon!
When npcs wake up from their knocked out state, they immediately agro on me even though they haven't seen me knock them out. Is this something that can be fixed? Also 40 bounty gets added as soon as they wake up
Do you have plans to be able to take an unconscious enemy's armor too? I think YTM's naptime has a feature to strip the armor off and put it on the ground to take, maybe something similar?
This mod alone will not KO NPCs from an unarmed attack, but you can use my Seize mod to grab the NPC and KO them while they are grabbed. I left out unarmed KOs intentionally because Bethesda neglected to provide a simple perk entry point for unarmed attacks. It could be done with a more complex and cumbersome solution, but my intent with this mod was to be as lightweight as possible. I still might add this feature into the combat module expansion mod since that requires a similar solution.
All the knockout features should work in VR, but I'm not sure about compatibility with HIGGS. I would be interested to know, if someone wants to test it.
Nice! I tried to look at your mod and Yield to Me mod, thinking I could make your mod trigger YTM. I guess it would be necessary to trigger YTM "naptime" effect when NPC is knocked out, but thats out of my modding capabilities.
Let's see... one way would be to create a perk for the player to open Yield to Me's naptime menu when an NPC is knocked out with NKOL's knockout effect. I don't know how feasible that is without taking a deep dive into it, though. destructor36's knockout mod could do something similar, as it is obviously an NPC Knockout Overhaul clone, which is awesome.
My goal for this mod was to implement the bare minimum necessary to provide robust knockout functionality and then have other mods extend and build upon that as desired. I intentionally left out features such as unarmed knockouts and damage-based knockouts due to the relative complexity needed to implement these features and since some users might not care to have them, but these could be implemented by other mods using NKOL as a framework.
I have several works in progress at the moment, but I will keep all of this in mind for possible future development.
Nice idea. Just thinking that because there are several mods like Acheron that implement defeated npc menu. It would be cool if you mod or similar mod would simply defeat (aka knock out) the NPC then let acheron or similar mod do its stuff. You could of course implemented consequences like when you bunch / drug whatever the NPCs if guard would see it you would get bounty of it or something.
