Well, the mod worked well immediately after the installation, but when I reloaded the game and pressed the mod's hotkey (the default one, I didn't change it) - it freezed the game permanently. Since then I can't use the mod at all - every time I push its hotkey the game becomes completely frozen and unresponsive, no matter what buttons do I press. I have to kill the game in the Task Manager in order to re-run it.
Does your mod completely stops the game time during the pause? Because if it's true, then perhaps it's the same old game bug when you use the "sgtm" console command and set it to 0 (zero) - it almost always results in immediate game freeze. Check out the Sgtm Hotkey mod for example: it works fine unless you set the game time to 0 (zero) and it freezes the game.
It works nice and I love it however if I understand the description the key is the one with the " - " and " _ " symbols? the one that's next to " . " I use a laptop with spanish QWERTY keyboard, the key that activates the mod has " ' " and " ? " symbols, the key next to number 0, in the upper row of numbers, not the numpad. Where did you get the table of characters and their numeric equivalence? Also it doesn't matter wich number I set in the ini it still activates with that key
But I love the concept, it's perfect for screenarchery
I searched the internet and couldn't find anything regarding the Spanish layout, so I guess you'll need to check with the English one before I figured out how to do it with the MCM.
As for the digit change problem, in my script " - _ " or your " ' ? " are set as default in case Papyrus Ini Manipulator is not installed. Please check if you have it
Hi thank you for your early reply sorry for my late reply. I have every requirement. Opened a new instance in MO2 and only have the requirements and requirements of requirements and this mod, it's still the key " ' ? " also I noticed that " - _ " it's the default key for quik stats so I changed that in the controls menu and restart game and it's still the same.
As four your link just discovered that is the controlmap.txt of skyrim, I didn't know that exists, dumb me thought it was some ASCII code but yet changing the ini with codes you provideed doesn't work.
I can't watch it in more detail for now but i will try to find out what i'm missing later
This looks awesome, thanks, but it's also bugging on me with the keys. The _- key is the same as the /? key The _- is on my European keyboard, the /? is on a US American keyboard. This key is preset for the Quick Stats. I changed it to Num Pad + (in the MCM) and that worked for a bit, then stopped working, then F10, which also worked and then stopped working. I"ll update this if I figure it out.
Here is the Spanish keyboard Layout. The keyboard layouts for other languages can be found here. Note that the Scancodes represented there are the same for any keyboard layout of any language. They are used, for example, in the Hex codes in the Skyrim's controlmap.txt file in [Data/Skyrim - Interface.bsa/interface/controls/pc] to determine the game's default key bindings (by adding "0x" before the actual Scancode, "ff" instead of the Scancode means "none", all numbers/letters are in lower case).
However there are also decimal DirectX scancodes used for scripting in almost all Bethesda games and the iHotkey number in the mod's *.ini file refers to that decimal scancode in particular. Here is the list of all Bethesda's decimal DirectX scancodes for the US English keyboard layout in an article on NexusMods. So compare your language keyboard layout with the US English keyboard layout and find out what decimal DirectX scancode is for the key on your language keyboard layout, which you would like to use as the hotkey of this mod.
Something happened and it makes Skyrim hang from the beginning on the loading screen forever. Even if I try to start a new game. I have MCM Helper 1.4 a slightly older version for Skyrim 1.6.640. Maybe this doesn't work with MCM Helper 1.4?
It should work. I tested it on Skyrim versions 1.5.97 and the latest one. The first one has MCM Helper 1.4 installed. Have you changed something in the Pause On Game Load module?
I am not a native English speaker, but play English version Skyrim. Can I use this mod to pause the game during dialogues (but I can still see the dialogue) so that I can check up some unfamiliar words in my dictionary?
Hi! Would it be possible to add the option to automatically pause the game on load for a few seconds, then automatically restore it? There is a mod that does the same but unfortunately it doesn't work correctly on 1.6.1170. It would really be useful for large load orders, expecially in combat.
Do you think it would be possible for you to unlock the camera during killmoves? So far i only ever seen one mod do it (FreeFlyCam plugin which havent been updated for a long time and doesn't work on the latest game AE version but still works in LE)
So... When you've paused the game, does it "unlock" the camera from the player and go into a "free camera mode" or are you still locked to the player and can only spin around with them in the centre? 🤷♂️ i.e. If I'm creeping down a corridor in some dungeon, can I stop the world and send the camera a little way ahead of me to the end of the corridor to see what's around the bend that is ahead of me? Sort of thing...
For now the camera is still linked to the player, but it's a great idea, for some reason I didn't think of it myself. I'll try to add it in the next update. Maybe even today.
I have ideas. But when it comes to doing anything with a PC, I'm pretty much crap. But I'm glad it's piqued your interest. Believe it or not, but when I was at school in the early mid 1970's (Yes! I'm a 63 year old gamer!), I honestly didn't see that computers, back then, would be of that much importance in the future. Oh! Boy! Oh! Boy! Just how wrong was I? 🤔😲 😬🥴

As for reverting back to the default settings.. That's weird. You could try setting Load Settings on Reload on the Maintenance page in the MCM.

Works like a charm, endorsed!
