I've been having issues with this mod, taking equipment from the overworld will just disappear.As far as I know I have nothing that would interfere with the mod (no armor or new items mod) (no stealth or looting mods).
I also had items either disappearing or being duplicated while using this mod. The problem disappeared when I disabled it. Given the size of my modlist, I can't rule out the cause being some unforeseen interaction of mods.
I looked into this for you. The oldest version of Skyrim AE I have is 1.6.640, which isn't compatible with Dynamic Animation Replacer. I can't even begin to test this. It needs 1.6.629.

i use this for immersive interactions and everything dar releated. most new mods list OAR as their only requirement, replacing the closed source DAR.
I feel bad for everyone not realizing/using this wayy overdue god tier mod. The amount of restarts I needed when trying to speak to the barkeeps cuz BTPS made me steal something off the counter is wild. Also not sure if its a bug but ingredients can still be stolen while standing from food bags/pouches. I think you should leave this alone even if it is a bug. Thanks for the god tier mod
I have encountered an issue that i've isolated to this mod. while NOT sneaking, when i attempt to pick something up from the world (not in a container) it practically vanishes into thin air, i'll get the corner message that i got it, but it will not be in my inventory nor will my carry weight change. when i sneak, i can pick anything up just fine. I don't know if this is an issue that is occuring due to incompatibility with another mod or not, i've poured through disabling and reenabling mods and the only one to get this issue resolved was to disable this one. Might be worth a look, but if you can't find anything, it's most likely on my end
I have observed the same thing. What is worse, it happened to me during the quest "Waking Nightmare" (that's the Dawnstar-nightmare quest). When I picked up "Vaermina's Torpror", and later when I disactivated the Miasma by taking the common soul gem, both times the items weren't added to my inventory. Both events get you stuck. Without the torpor, Eridur won't talk and you can obviously not drink it in order to proceed. I could fix this with the console. More critical is the Miasma, because it seems that only adding the soul gem to the inventory triggers the lift of the barrier. If that doesn't happen, you are stuck in the temple, no way out. Disabling the mod got me through this.
I love the idea of this mod, because so often did I accidently steal something. But this is a very serious bug that can get you stuck, or miss critical, maybe unique items. Until this is fixed, I fear I have to disable this mod.
I added Vaermina's Torpror to my inventory with "player.additem 0005F6DF 1", dropped it on the ground, and picked it up just fine. I tried this multiple times and it always appeared in my inventory. Can you confirm if this is happening for you with the same procedure using your current modlist and without? It's most likely that this is a conflict with another mod.
I reenabled this mod, and tried your procedure. It worked 3/3 times. When in the quest, it failed 4/4 times. One of these bugs fun bugs.... Here is what I am going to do: I will keep playing with this mod but keep my eyes open for any new occurrence. Hopefully, I catch it before I get stuck in a quest.
If there is a mod conflict, it might be most likely with "Immersive interactions - animated actions" or "immersive interactions - new anims", but that's just a wild guess because right now, I can't reproduce it no matter what I try to pick up.
Immersive Interactions doesn't seem to be getting updates. The oldest version of Skyrim I have is 1.6.640, and that's too new to be supported. Dynamic Animation Replacer is only for up to version 1.6.629, from what I can tell.
Immersive Interactions has been updated on August 2024, so they are up to date. I am playing 1.6.1170.
But now for the update, it happened again. This time, it was the Ruby Claw in Dead Man's Respite. When picking up the claw, a door opens to proceed into the dungeon. But the claw doesn't appear in the inventory, so later on you cannot open the puzzle door.
In all 3 cases that I observed, picking up the item triggered an event. Maybe this is a clue in this context. Vaermina's Torpor triggered a quest update, but Torpor didn't appear in inventory Common Soul Gem triggered a quest update, and was supposed to open the Miasma barrier which didn't happen (and Gem didn't appear either) Ruby Claw opens a door, but doesn't appear in inventory
I am going to preserve the save with the Ruby claw so I can try other things later on.
I did not encounter the inventory bug, but I did experience issues with Immersive Interactions. While not sneaking, looting a container, then seeing the animation after closing the loot window. The flowers disappearing before crouching to pick them started to make me wince. ~laughs~ Not game breaking, but disorienting for my smooth, linear brain.
Finally, a cure for kleptomania! It's useful since I utilize the Wintersun mod, and I can lose favour with my deity if I accidentally steal something. Though I'd like to request an addon to this mod that prevents the picking up of utensils, cups, bowls, and plates when seated(or not sneaking, whatever's most convenient), so I stop accidentally eating the plate first.
I use Pilgrim with Pilgrim - Divine Restrictions, which was my own motivation for this (besides it otherwise being very annoying). It sounds like we both had a similar problem. I will look into making this addon for you.

Noticing it blocks the action, but still play animations from Immersive Interactions (picking up) when pressing activae.
