thank you for the mod but I was wondering if you could add warmth value to seared fat once its cooked? In Alaska, Eskimos eat berries mixed with whale fat to keep there energy up. If were being realistic lol.  I would think seared fat would have a warmth rate of 75-100? Thanks again.

If we're being realistic, "Eskimo" is a derogatory term and Inuit is the appropriate nomenclature. Berries mixed with fat helps keep them preserved but doesn't really make them hot.

If we're being realistic, "Eskimo" is a term they themselves use, and is not a "Derogatory" term. And fat is full of energy and holds heat very well, which can mean the fat can be hot. ;]

The Inuit is one small tribe of people in the larger group known by themselves as Eskimo, by calling them all Inuits you are being way more insulting then the term Eskimo has ever been

Not exactly. Inuit refers to several related groups across the north end of North America, from Alaska to Greenland (and parts of Siberia). Eskimo is an exonym, but they generally refer to themselves as Inuit, or their specific group. In Greenland and Canada, 'eskimo' is generally considered derogatory. When I lived in Alaska almost 20 years ago*, it was not considered derogatory, but I don't know if that has changed. Also, not all Alaska Natives are Inuit. The Inupiat and Yupik are; but the Athabaskans, Tlingit, Aleuts, etc. are not, and probably don't appreciate being referred to as either Inuit or eskimo (but, as I said before, my experience is outdated. Anyone else who has corrections, feel free to chime in).

Akutak (the berries/fat/sugar dish in question) is often made with crisco nowadays, which pretty much melts at body temp, and seal/whale blubber melts into oil, so while it's high energy and would protect against the cold, it's not a hot food. The problem you run into with the survival gameplay limitations is that hot foods give the buff protect against the cold.

*have not talked to any of my Alaska Native friends in well over a decade. Yes, I'm old.

      Edit: grammar.

I have heard, but correct me if I'm off, the Sami people of northern Scandinavia, related to indigenous tribes mentioned here, are the inspiration for the Skaal of Solstheim. Also, the "santa" character from the Saturalia CC wears garb similar to those worn by the Sami.

Could be! Saami people are not Inuit nor Native American, but it's actually super fascinating the cultural similarities shared between the Inuit and the Saami, and in fact across the whole Arctic. People forget that Northern Scandinavia and Northern Canada/Greenland are actually comparatively not that far apart when you look at the world as a globe, and that's reflected in how interconnected their cultures and religious beliefs are.

Kinda sucks pretty much everyone in the arctic is gettin screwed over by colonizing powers rn tho.

Does this include compatibility for Hunterborn's "Soups and Stews" add-on or only for soups and stews crafted in the normal cooking method?
EDIT: Nvm, I mistook the Misc Files section for Old Files earlier and just noticed the add-on patch.

Thanks so much for this! I noticed though, that some seasoned stews don't have hunger and warmth added, and those that do have the hunterborn effect removed.

How about the people, like me, who don't want to play Survival Mode from Bethesda ?
    some may prefer RND...
others, like me, prefer to pleay Imp's More Complex Needs...

Some people very well prefer other mods over survival -- I go between Survival and Frostfall/iNeed myself. Making patches that just add keywords/effects is not too difficult once you're comfortable using xEdit. But your best bet for having a patch made for you (and I recognize that making patches can be a bit overwhelming) is to ask the authors of the mods you do use. Even if they don't make it, someone who reads the comments who uses the mods you want patched may have something.

In order to make a patch, you need to have the mods you want patched installed. So even if I were to start making patches on demand, RND and IMCN would not be on that list as I don't use them.

SSEEdit is your friend. I literally made this same patch myself, though only covering food. I looked up a tutorial on youtube a long time ago for how to use SSEEdit. Mods that don't add assets are easy to make, and only take like, 20 minutes to learn how. Never used xEdit, but I'm guessing it's similar.
