Description
Makes upgrading or reinforcing armor more impactful by removing the hidden 25 armor (3% damage reduction) bonus gained for each piece of equipped heavy or light armor plus a shield. This will cause you and npcs to be a little squishier when wearing armor.
In the early game, the 25 bonus hidden armor is simply too significant. Equipping Iron Boots with 10 armor will actually yield 35 armor. Furthermore, wearing a full Iron outfit consisting of an Iron Armor, Iron Boots, Iron Gauntlets, an Iron Helmet, and an Iron Shield should only provide 80 armor; however, the hidden armor bonus will actually provide more armor than the entire outfit does! The hidden 25 armor bonus for each piece would normally add another 125 armor bringing you up to 205 armor.
If you want to simply reduce the hidden armor bonus by a small amount or actually increase it instead, there's also an alternative FOMOD provided with a large range of options.
