    New version of Woodcutter, converted for SSE.

      The files are divided into two parts
      SMTX_Item.esm contains all the elements obtained by cutting trees. They must be active.

    i kinda wonna ask if there is a possibility to make a mod that adds different mining and woodchopping tools , .. like elfen and dwarven variants .. that are lighter and speed it up aswell as give more recourses?

      What tweaks have you made? I'd certainly be interested in a version that's more recent and thoroughly investigated. FYI, there are no official restrictions, to my knowledge, about distributing personally made/altered mods by direct messaging on other sites.

      Did you undo his sneaky changes to all the metal ingot recipes, removing the Charcoal he added?

    It isn't documented that I saw, but this mod changes all the metal ingot recipes to require substantial amounts of Charcoal in addition to the metal ores. I was quite confused when I had large amounts of various ores and was unable to smelt any of it! Poking around in SSEEdit/xEdit revealed this author's sneaky change.

    If you suddenly aren't able to smelt any ores, try adding Charcoal to your inventory.

    I'm debating whether to produce a modified version of this that leaves the original recipes untouched or just discontinue use of the mod....

    Ok so I finally got this mod to work by porting it from oldrim, trying to fix this version was impossible, first of all it was not packed correctly then workbenches where not functioning, etc. Now I have problem with jaxonz positioner is unable to select items like table, stairs etc. So what ever has trigger it can be selected but not rest of the items do anyone else knows how to fix it. By the way it is great mod when everything works.

    With todays SKSE this presents a problem. Every time you load a save it renders the same script when you first start your new game. For example with character creation overhaul it seems to load it just like if you start a new game via alternate start. Then the character begins floating backwards....

    I do have a large mod order so maybe its a conflict. But I really am not trying to change my load order.

    Can anyone help Please? I love this mod, used it on my oldrim cararcter and it worked like charm, ended building five houses for my followers lol. Problem is I can't get it to work on special edition. I read a comment that was not packed properly I did fix that and cutting trees is on now but I can't get to fix workbench and saw horse, I tried loading both esm and esp in Ck and right clicking on saw horse to add, I do not get that option just new, edit, delete etc. Do someone knows how to get this mod to work properly Thank you for any help.

    Riverwood has no axe on my game. Does it works with skyrim flora overhaul?

    EDIT: already remover skyrim flora overhaul and still nothing

      You should be able to convert a normal woodcutter's axe into a modded one at the forge.

    its not working. for me, I have Jaxonz Positioner and Woodcutter installed but I can't find the axe needed to cut down trees. I also don't see any of the other things that are supposed to be added by the mod


    Had the same problem.
    Turns out it was an issue with Mod Organizer. Solved by installing manually the mod in the data folder.
    The mod is not correctly packed.
    The instructions to correct it are in the Quote below

    • SMTX_Items.esm
    • SMTX_Woodcutter.esp

     
    It should be packed this way:
    • meshes folder
    • scripts folder
    • sound folder
    • textures folder
    • SMTX_Items.esm
    • SMTX_Woodcutter.esp

    Simply extract the content of the mod Data folder inside the mod base folder.
     


     
    Edit: 
    Cutting works perfectly.
    Can't use it with Simply Bigger Trees, as expected, but seem to be compatible with Skyrim 3D Trees https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12371?tab=files , at least for the pines in Falkreath.
     
    Tested all sawhorses and workbenches and as mentionned above, no recipe appear. Game CTD without SkyUI so I used Hide SkyUI https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12770 to get the vanilla menu. Still no recipes.
    Solved and keep reading for the instructions
     
     
    Edit 2:
    Fixed the recipes problem for the sawhorse and probably for all the other crafting stations.
     
    "SMTXWorkbenchWoodworkSawhorse" was missing in the sawhorse keywords. Added it and the recipes suddenly appeared.
     
    To correct it :
    • open the Creation Kit

    • set "SMTX_Woodcutter.esp" as the active plugin
    • in the "Object Window" go to
      • World Objects
        • Furniture
          • smtx
            • workbench




    • select the sawhorse (its editor ID "is SMTXWorkbenchWoodworkSawhorse")
    • in the keywords section, right click and use "Add"
    • in the weapon that just popped, scroll down and select "SMTXCraftinSawHorse"

    I suppose it's the same problem for the workbenches.
    To find what line you should add to what 
     
     
    To find what line you should add:
    • In the "Object Window" go to
      • Items
        • Book
          • Constructible Objects



    • Sort the Items by the bench keyword (basically click on "Bench Keyword" in the list categories)
    • Repeat the same operation for the workbenches and scriptorium with the new keyword

     
    Once fixed, I'll try to get in contact with the OP to upload the fixed esp. If you want it already just PM me and I'll send you
    It won't be as good as the original since I saw in the CK that there are different workbenches level. I'm kind of a lazy f*** and I honestly don't have the patience to check in the Oldrim mod which level is for which workbench so I'll just use my instinc instead (even tho it seems pretty logic that the "noble workbench" should have the highest level).
     
    I'll also try to create a patch for campfire, so it will be possible to use the branches to make fire (honestly I'm not a modder and those are my first steps).

    Campfire patch is ready, it's now possible to use the branches to create fire.

      If possible, would someone be able to make a video showing how to do this fix? I'm not good with Creation Kit and have no clue what I'm doing...
