    Hi, thanks for making this mod, I have been using it for a very long time. I recently started a new playthrough with Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul, and noticed that it already includes a fix for the flora respawn bug after starting. Would it be safe to uninstall this mod at this point, or should I leave it as it is for now and uninstall it when I make a new character?

      does having both break the plants again? cuz i have both and these plants still arent respawning. ive never seen the thistle bushes around riverwood respawn on this playthrough

      According to the mod description for Better Harvesting it looks like you're supposed to install both? I.e. you don't get the fix just by installing Better Harvesting.

      If you've been told otherwise in the comments or something, or if the mod has been updated but not the description, then ignore this. I'm just basing this off the description of the mod as written by the author - I don't actually use Better Harvesting.

      Also NexGenration check that Flora Respawn Fix is first in your load order, then Better Harvesting after that.

      first as in even before USSEP and everything else in my load order? also i was apparently wrong. i have harvest overhaul, not better harvesting. does that change anything?

      flora respawn fix is first in my load order and im still having issues. thistle still hasnt respawned, the few that did hasnt respawned since i took them after putting this mod first in load order, and im still having an issue i forgot to mention before where if i harvest something, then reload a save from before i gathered it, reloading the save didnt bring it back. ive seen it happen with both garlic and barnacles

      If you're harvesting something for the first time in order to let FRF fix it for you, then reloading a save from before you harvested it, is just going to go back to the broken behavior where reloading a save makes the thing disappear. You have to harvest it, save, and from then on it will work correctly. To be clear: for things that you've already harvested before installing this mod, you have to let them respawn normally, then harvest them, and only then are they fixed by FRF.

      There also may be compatibility issues with Harvest Overhaul, I don't know. But from the sound of it this is just a misunderstanding of how this mod fixes stuff you've harvested previously. Re-read the mod description.

      the thing is though that ive been using the mod since character creation. the plants should have never been broken in the first place. also i dont realy remember having these issues in vanilla SSE, and i put 750 hours into my vanilla sse character. i was able to go to the orphan's tear, collect the bucket loads of barnacles there, then fast travel between riften and markarth 2 times to make 2 days go by faster than using the wait command, then come back and collect them again. and any of the other harvestables would also regrow with this method. the only thing that gave me issues on that save was the barnacles in the moat at dragonsreach. maybe ill try experimenting a bit. ill make a backup save, test things out, then uninstall your mod, then test out again, and then do the same with harvest overhaul. hopefully thisll be sorted out

    Several hours into game play, plants started instantly growing back after harvest, forcing me to load an old save. I have no conflicts in SSEEdit.

    Update: Continues happening at random. If I keep harvesting, I'll actually get multiples spawning on top of each other. Only resolution is going to an old save.

    I am using this fix and it's variants in patches soon after starting with SSE and finally came round to endorse. Thanks a lot for this much needed fix.
    It was frustrating how farms never regrew wheat etc. and how towns and roadsides remained looking empty once I visited them. I like to almost break my games with alchemy ;)

    I was originally checking back to get the final answer to
    Q: Will this mod fix stuff I've already harvested?
    and found one detail missing in the description:
    I understand that if a plant was harvested and broken before, it will be fixed by harvesting it once with this mod active for that plant.
    Now, will I have to wait 30 in-game days for the plant to respanwn before I can harvest it again to fix it, or will this be possible earlier?
    Harvested pants can't be activated until they respawn.

    I have never heard before about this bug, so i wanted to see it for myself. I harvested a plant, changed location, waited for 30 days, came back and saw the plant respawned. Saved the game, exited. Launched the game. The plant was on its place after i loaded the save. I was able to harvest it again. I wasn't using this mod. Is this mod included into mods that alter plants? I use some. Maybe this why i didn't faced the bug even without this mod?

      The bug affects some plants, not all of them.

    Hello, first thank you, I saw these error on papyrus log it is of some relevance? "error: Unable to bind script FloraRespawnScript to  (0007C57D) because their base types do not match" this error repeats a lot.

    Just thought I'd let folks know that I've released a patch compendium (called Qwinn's Bottomless Bag of Patches) that includes patches for Flora Respawn Fix to be fully compatible with Ars Metallica and with the latest version of Skyrim 3D Trees. bluedanieru, I went ahead with this without asking because you have open permissions for this type of patch and I tend to take that to mean that authors would rather not be bothered with permission requests. Thanks tons for your great work with this mod, I consider it completely essential which is why I took the time to make the patches.

      if i use wrye batch for loot tables and override texture do i still need your patches?

      Your mileage might vary, but in my case the bashed patch did not solve the conflicts gracefully and just used the last loaded record version, overriding the script changes.
      Thankfully, Mator smash created a perfect patch with the default "smash.all" option, even when it came to SMIM-ars metallica incompatibilities, and you can then put the smashed patch at the bottom of your load order and include it in your bashed path if you prefer using Wyre Bash for anything past conflict resolution.

      I'm assuming, since you didn't mention them, that no other big flora mods (like SFO) conflict with Flora Respawn Fix?

    This mod unfortunately adds a bug with hawks and hawk nests. When I shoot down a hawk in its nest with this mod enabled 3-4 hawks fall out instead of one (which is how its supposed to be and how it is when i turn off this mod). When I shoot a hawk from the air 2 hawks fall out of the sky and once a 3rd hawk fell from the nest at the same time. Is there any way you can fix this?

      You have a conflict somewhere and it's unlikely I can fix it. This mod does not do that on its own.

      Is that something using a merged patch or bashed patch or w/e would fix? Sorry im not the best modder I started with a guide to SSE modding on reddit I just use Unread books glow, SkyUI, USSEP and this mod. also sorry for thinking it was your mod im still new

      Hmmm, that is odd - I wouldn't expect any of those to conflict. It's possible there is some difference in the scripting engine from Oldrim that is causing this to happen *just* in SE. I will look into that when I have some time - thanks for following up.
