      No replacer, just additional music.

Hey! Your music is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing (and especially with open permissions)! :)

Here's a zip file that should help with getting it into the game! It contains:

    • Converted .wav file to .xwm (using Yakitori Audio Converter)
    • An esl-flagged .esp that creates a music track record for the .xwm file. I've conditioned the music to play before 10pm and after 5am.
    • A _MUS.ini file to work with Music Type Distributor. That way, you don't need to worry about patching for other music mods. It distributes the track to Pine Forest, Snow, Tundra, Mountains, and the Forgotten Vale.
    • I've also created a template _MUS.ini file that should save you some time in the future.

As a heads up, I didn't do anything to adjust the volume of the music, so hopefully it's on-par with the other in-game music. :)

After testing to make sure it works, you should be able to upload the .zip file as-is for people to install with their mod manager. You will also need to instruct them to install Music Type Distributor (and add it to the requirements for the mod).

I hope this is helpful! To reproduce this method for any other mods you release:

    • Folder setup: Create a new folder with the title of the mod as you want it to appear in the mod manager/on the download page. Add a folder named music, then another inside it named jhc (stands for JanHehrComposes).
    • Music conversion: Convert the .wav file to .xwm using Yakitori Audio Converter. Add the .xwm file to the jhc folder.
    • .esp File: Copy the .esp file I provided for this mod into your mod's main folder. Rename it to your new mod's name (I recommend using a jhc prefix to make it easier to identify later). Open the .esp file in xEdit. Select the music track, then edit the EditorID of the music track to go with your new mod's name (keep the jhc prefix), and change the music file path to match your new music file's name (music\jhc\your music file.xwm). Adjust or remove the track's play conditions if desired. Write down the Form ID of the music track (to the left of the music track's record). Save.
    • _MUS.ini: Download my template .ini here. Copy it to your mod's main folder. Rename it to your mod's name with a suffix of _MUS.ini. Follow the instructions in the file for adding the music track to your desired music types. Save.
    • Testing: Make sure that the folder and file structure matches the one I gave you for this mod, then test the mod in-game. :)
    • You're done! Zip the folder, then upload the .zip.

If you're not familiar with how to install modding tools or need a quick testing setup, I recommend using the ADT Wabbajack list - it's a relatively quick download and comes with tools pre-installed, including xEdit.

I'm not an expert on music mods by any means, so I hope someone can double-check I've implemented it correctly. But feel free to DM me any time if you have questions, too. :)

    Happy modding!

It's a beautiful music indeed but he can't install it with mo 2 because it's not a mod/music who must be used like that.

Someone must do an esp to add the information to add the music ingame with bsa archive or correct folder and convert the wav file to xwm.

      Exemple of correct archive :

Divine Blessings - Exploration Music Track.esp
Divine Blessings - Exploration Music Track.bsa (contain the music converted in xwm in a folder as below)

      or

Divine Blessings - Exploration Music Track.esp
      [Music](folder)
      -->Your music in format xwm.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! I'll get onto this ASAP and see what I can do to provide a better integration.
