Overview
Godvir Bluewind is a custom voiced follower with over 1000 lines of dialogue. As a mercenary, he is a skilled archer and saw his fair share of battles. Personality wise, he is laid-back and has a lot of dry humor. He doesn’t try to be cooler or outshine the Dragonborn. Ultimately, he is just a normal dude, that kills for the highest bidder. But why is he dead? And why is he back in Skyrim? This and other questions you can ask him yourself.

Requirements
None. Just install and play.

Features
- Over 1000 lines of fully voiced unique dialogue (he comments on the weather, towns, dungeons, enemies he’s fighting, idle talk, player actions, etc.).
- Full Commentary on Quests; see further below
- Does not affect your follower count.
- Summon Spell (can be obtained from his inventory).
- Map tracker, when waiting.
- With the dialogue option “Can I ask you some questions?” You can get to know him more and hear his opinions on some topics.
- Has his own class
- Has his own framework.
- Doesn’t activate traps
- Doesn’t affect your stealth meter.

Starting Location
You can find Godvir outside of North Shriekwind Bastion. You can install mid-game, but it is highly recommended to create a new game to get the full experience. Also, when installed mid-game, he will comment on things you already did. As a longtime, user of Alternative Start Mod, Godvir was created with this in mind. That means, that when you play the vanilla start, some of his comments don’t make too much sense but will ultimately not hinder the experience.

Quest commentary
Godvir, like almost others follower mod, will react to the quest you are currently completing. This varies from comments (idle talk) to conversations. Here is a summary of his reactions:
- Main Quest (comments).
- Dawnguard Main Quest: both sides(comments and three short conversations).
Dawnguard Side missions:
- Ancient Technology, Bolstering the Ranks, Lost Relic, Amulets of Night Power, Ancient Power, Rings of Blood Magic (comments).
- Lost to the Ages (comments).
- Commentary of all the Daedric Quests*(Comments and Conversation).
- *Followers can’t follow normally into Nightcaller temple. When you want him there with you, then use his teleport spell.
- *Conversations are in the quests: “The Taste of Death,” “A Daedra's Best Friend,” “The Black Star“ and “The Only Cure.”
- The Golden Claw (comments).
- Toying with the dead (comments).

Technical Info’s
- He starts on Level 5 and will level withthe player infinite.
- He can be a bit strong on lower-level characters. You can nerf him, when you change his starter bow and arrows.
- His Starting Gear is: A set of elven armor, an elven bow, and some elven arrows.
- Has his own framework.
- He has his own custom class (pure support archer) and will prefer Light Armor and bows/crossbows. Don’t forget to restack him with arrows or bolts. He doesn’t have an infinity quiver.
- A summon spell, should you lose him. He carries the spell book in his inventory.
- Is made on the old Creation Kit, so you don’t need BEES. But, when you play, like myself, on an older version of the game, there is no reason not to download it.

Mod Conflictions
Follower Frameworks or anything that controls/modifies Godvir, as this will cause him to break. Please do not add Godvir to any follower frameworks, as he has his own one.
When you want to use one, then use frameworks, for example, “Simple Follower Extension AE,” that ignore custom voiced followers.

Some people reported having difficulty understanding him. It's something I can't replicate on my end because both my Test person and I understand him perfectly. Here are some tips that may help you:
1) Try increasing the voice slider under settings.
2) Install the Mod "PC Dialogue Audio Enhancer." Makes each NPC easy to understand.
3) Use subtitles.

Roadmap for the Future (You can find the progress of any update in the sticky comment in the comment section)
This mod is far from over. I want to further develop this mod with more commentary and maybe new quests. I work full time, and this project is a hobby of mine, so I can’t say, when new updates drop. But here is a list of what I want/try to release in chronological order:
- Quest Commentary for the College of Winterhold.
- Commentary for Misc Quests and more Misc Dialogue.
- Quest Commentary for the Dragonborn DLC.

What I’m not sure about is whether I will do something for it, because I never play these questlines:
- Thief’s Guild.
- Dark Brotherhood.
- The Companions.

Personal message from the Mod author(Ahh, that’s me :D)
When you read to this point, then you are a legend. After over a year working on this project, it’s finally here. It may sound cheesy, but it was always a dream of mine to create my own Follower Mod. Even when it’s not my native language and I’m a big noob in coding and the Creation Kit.
I also want to thank some people directly:
- Joseph Russel (Author of Lucien): To make this wonderful Tutorial on YouTube, “How to make a Custom Voiced Follower.”
- Scarundy (Author of Sa’Chil): For patiently answering all my stupid questions and be full of positivity.
- Craftian (Author of Eris, Citizens of Tamriel): For answering my questions about the teleport spell.
- AngryKarakuri: For making the excellent video series “Alex's Companion Framework” that helped me to understand some things in the Creation Kit better.
- Warden: For answering questions about coding and making really nice tutorial videos. You can find his Youtube here: Warden21-0.
- HuntressOfValhalla for sending me a doc with corrections and making a showcase of my mod on her Youtube channel. You can find it here: huntressofvalhalla Yt
And also:
- All of the wonderful Mod Creators that gifted us all these nice Mods that never leave my Modlist and motivated me to create my own Mod.

You can support me and the mod by endorsing the mod, telling your friends, and uploading videos/pictures. I really thank you for downloading and playing this mod.
