I may be an idiot, but since the Convenience add-on is listed as optional, I did not install it. Spell research sees that parchment is separate from paper, and so it will tell me that I don't have enough materials to do any sort of crafting. When I add rolls of paper to my inventory, I can then do the crafting and it just uses up the paper.
So, this mod is not compatible with base Spell Research, and in fact does nothing. Does the optional Convenience mod fix this? Or is this just a useless mod?

Regarding whether the Forbidden Prey add on is realistic, it actually is: https://blog.thepreservationlab.org/2017/11/anthropodermic-bibliopegy-aka-human-skin-bindings
