It's showing up by me but everything has a $ before it and just some letters behind it. Every addition to the skills has the same Name as the Skils (so $XXX). Someone has the same problem or knows how to fix it?
I installed it through the nmm and even tried reinstalling it and couldn't get the mcm menu to show up. I manually installed it and the mcm menu showed up after a minute or so in the game. If you haven't tried that it might work. I also heard MO works better then nmm also.
The problem still exists. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the mod, the setstage console command, installing the mod manually, I even just ran a completely clean save where the only mods were skse/skyui and FMR and the MCM menu still doesn't exist. Edit: So, after one last try, manually installing, it NOW appears in the MCM tab. I did nothing different, just drag/dropped the folders, but it works now. /massiveshrug
SOLUTION HERE -> 1) Go to your Skyrim Special Edition folder & get the file about Translation (Data/Interface/Translations folder)
2) Once you got your file, go in, check you have a .txt named "ForgotteMagic_Redone_English.txt" You should have 2, if you don't care about the russian one delete it, it doesn't matter here, we only need the english one
3) Rename it with the country selected when you installed Skyrim Special Edition
Example : My skyrim is in French (so I got the MCM menu issue with all those $ everywhere)
I renamed my ForgottenMagic_Redone_ENGLISH into ForgottenMagic_Redone_FRENCH
Worked !
NO NEED TO EDIT IN THE FILE, JUST RENAME IT
4) Your Mod Manager (Vortex for me) will probably ask after you deploy, something have been change manually do you want to keep it or restore, KEEP IT of course
5) If your lazy just reinstall your Skyrim in English and you won't have issue with the MCM menu & Forgotten Magic Redone
6) To know why simply Skyrim reads translation in his installed-langage you've selected when you installed it
Hi, I don't know if this is still relevant to others, but I had the same problem and managed to fix the settings for me. In the Data/Interface/Translations folder in your Skyrim installation you can find the "ForgottenMagic_Redone_ENGLISH.txt". I copied the file and renamed it to "ForgottenMagic_Redone_GERMAN.txt" which fixed the $ placeholders for me. You can give this a try if you are playing with a non-english language setting. If you want to invest the time you can even do a proper translation :)
MCM not loading. (10 comments)
I have the correct version of SKSE64 and SKIUI running, and some other mods are showing up in the mcm. Not sure where to start trouble shooting.
