Some patches to better appreciate this old but still interesting mod.

The Hanging Gardens (or Bhabhilon) is an old mod that I finally played some time ago, here are some patches that fix some little (totally personal) issues I found in the mod. Nothing big, just a little improvement to make the mod more enjoyable (again, from my point of view).
The Main File includes three main parts:
- Keep it Clean on the Hanging Gardens
Sets a flag in the still water of the mod, in order to make KiC register it as water apt to bathing. Doesn't actually require Keep it Clean installed, since it's just a flag.
- Dwemer Love Bunnies
For any reasons, the Dwemerstuff on the outside areas of the Hanging Gardens has the habit of going after peaceful bunnies, chicken and deer that lived there forever, even when I'm standing right next to them. I found it weird (because they would be already long dead before I arrive) and also slightly insulting, so now it's fixed. Dwemer automatons (and specters) won't try to kill prey animals anymore (the animals will still try their best to keep their distance).
Also, since the Dwemer faction and each Dwemer-like NPC of this mod is different from the vanilla ones (they have different BaseID), this fix won't have any effect on vanilla Skyrim's automata or on other mods.
- Tempering Recipes
The mod contains some interesting armor and weapons, but no recipe to temper them.
Now all the pirates armors and weapons, as well as the unique Dwemer Warhammer you find in the mod, have tempering recipes.
These are also provided in separate optional files if you want to pick only one or two of them (again, the Keep it Clean patch makes the water compatible with KiC but does not require KiC nor has any active effect if you haven't installed KiC or other mods that use the same flag. So you can install the Main File even if you don't use bathing mods)

This is built on SE 1.597 but shouldn't give issues, unless any update messed up the Faction or the Temper system (which, to my knowledge, it didn't. Yet).
- Safe to install mid-game?
Yes, I created it mid-game, but is better if you install it when you are not in the areas interested by the mod.
- There is another mod that does the same and better.
No idea what do you mean, but I encourage you to use that other mod if it fits better your game.
