I was looking for a simple spell on Nexus to boost my jump height, didn't find any to my liking so I made one.
BASICS
It's an adept level alteration spell, each cast doubles your jump height and it also applies a "slowfall" condition (temporary perk) on the caster for the duration that reduces fall damage to 1% of normal. Despite its name it doesn't reduce the actual fall speed though. Multiple casts do require tons of mana though and the effect lasts for only 30s, so you can still die from jumping off a huge mountain or if the spell runs out mid air. It makes exploring a lot more convinient when you can now jump over that big river, jump from rooftop to rooftop in towns etc...
Word of warning though, Skyrim is riddled with invisible walls and you will run into those when jumping on buildings and such. Also you can probably get stuck or just break the game in some other way by going into places you should not be in.
I wanted to keep super simple and compatible with pretty much anything so it's just an .esp (esl) with no overwrites like lvl list or cell edits. All the effects and "assets" are vanilla. Doesn't need any CC or even DLC content. Load order should not matter as long as you don't somehow manage to load it before Skyrim.esm :)
There is a SPID file included that distributes the spellbook to court wizards and couple of other npcs with the keyword JobSpellFaction. This way you can get high the immersive way. This requires Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) However, it's not a hard requirement for the mod, without SPID that text file does nothing. You can also get it with console commands or some add items mod. In console type: help "Enchance Leap" 4 to find it.
Install as usual with your mod manager of choice. Uninstalling mid playthrough not recommended like with any mods, but should be possible as this doesn't leave any script mess behind. Safest way is to uninstall and then load a save from before it was installed.
FUTURE?
In the future I might make the fall damage reduction -perk a separate spell option. Only small issue is, normally (without extra mods) you can't cast spells while in the air/jumping. So you'd have to cast it before jumping off High Hrothgar and regretting life choices.
DISCLAIMER
I did not test this for a very long period so I take no responsibility if it breaks your game. Other modders may modify it and/or include it in another mod, no need to ask permissions. After all the core was put together in about 5min..
