Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel, is a cold and mountainous region also known as the Old Kingdom, Mereth, or the Fatherland, or Keizaal in the dragon tongue.
Sounds from Clofas:
Solstheim:
Rain differences during day and night:
Snow differences during day and night:
What it does:
- It adds most of the Supreme Weathers it's storms as unique weathers into the ESP. This means new fog, new rain storms, new ash storms and new snow storms
- Change the existing rain storm weathers to have denser and stronger rain
- Add new storm sounds to the rain storms and snow storms provided by Clofas
- Add a new drizzle / light rain weather as well
- Interiors have these sounds added as well
- Adds Enhanced Vanilla Sky Textures and the upscaled 2K clouds from Rudy ENB for Obsidian
- Complimentary ENB with full support for LUX, ELFX or ELFX Shadows and Skyrim is Luminous or any other interior lighting mod
- The ENB is fully tuned for every region and DLC including support for Skyrim Extended Cut
- The ENB has a full MAIN version and a PERFORMANCE version for all three lighting setups within the ENB folder.
- A compatibility patch for Seasonal Weathers Framework provided by dBottle
- Completely open source, free to use / edit as you see fit. But you do have to contact me and credit all the authors I am crediting here.
Treat this Ebony ENB Addon as a weather mod, so do not ESL it. The patches, however, are ESL'fied. For 1.5.97 users, you'd probably need B.E.E.S
You can combine this with any other weather mod but will most likely need a consistency patch. The ENB however is intended for vanilla weathers aesthetic, so I would not recommend combining it with any other weather mod. However, if you want an even stronger grim feel, you can combine it with Faithful Weathers or Northern Weathers both made by dBottle. These are closer to the vanilla aesthetic. As long as you load my weather after.
My weather plugin also works great with The Vanilla ENB. This ENB is completely designed for the vanilla weather system.
Weather Installation:
- Just with your favorite mod manager. Pick your flavor in the FoMod. Automatically has a config for EVLAS, mainly to enable the "fast" preset. I think that plays best in terms of performance and visuals.
- You can also pick seasonal weather framework or audio patches only. Make sure you don't select both. Just select either one and then in the next frame pick only one version as they function as a full combo patch. The Audio Overhaul patch is ONLY for the non-SKSE version.
Lux installation:
- Please make sure you first install Lux Via the main file if you wish to use the full version OR only it's resources. They are mandatory for lux to work
- Make sure you select Beams- PARTICLE Without effect lighting and Mists and Fogs - Effect lighting without PARTICLE
- Go through the installation process as any other mod and make sure Lux is loaded LAST in your load order winning any conflict, apart from patches.
Skyrim is Luminous installation:
- Just install like any other weather mod and pick the ominous version from it's FoMod. It will work on the other ones too, but looks best on Ominous
- Highly recommended to install lux as well but ONLY keep it's meshes and not it's ESP's. This to reduce light flickering because of the split meshes from Lux (this is also possible with ELFX Shadows it's meshes, as long as you disable the ESP's)
- Optionally you can use this with Window Shadows RT updated. Though I use it without for maximum compatibility.
ELFX (Shadows) installation:
- Just install like any other mod, let it win everything. Preferably use it with ELFX Shadows and it's Enhancer and it's requirements.
- If you only wish to use ELFX, then use it's Enhancer instead and ELFX fixes as well
ENB requirements:
- ENB Helper or ENB Helper Updated - Pick your version. I recommend for pre 1170 version users to install the normal ENB helper and any users who are on the latest 1170 game version to use the updated version. Even though the old ENB helper seemingly works, I feel like the updated version is a lot more stable on 1170.
- Embers XD
- Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Sunshadow
- Moons and Stars - a Sky Overhaul
Complimentary Addons:
- Obsidian Mountain Fogs - for epic mountain fogs!
- Mists of tamriel - I just like it blended with this ENB
- No magic absorb blur - this is so that night-eye doesn't get disabled when using the vampire feed power
This mod probably works with Azurite Mists, but I did not design it with it in mind. It might look too bright or too dim depending on the type of weather and time of day. So be warned.
ENB Installation:
- ENB - You only need the d3d11.dll and the d3d_compiler.dll from the wrapper folder and put it into \steamapps\common\skyrim special edition main directory
- ENB helper - You need SKSE installed and then you can install ENB helper.
- First download the weather plugin
- Secondly open up the zip folder and pick if you want to use the main or performance version. Update - Lighting mod dependency is no longer a thing. It will work on lux, skyrim is luminous and ELFX regardless
- Then pick the main version OR the performance version and drop it into the same folder. \steamapps\common\skyrim special edition
- Make sure that bSAOenable=0 for the main version in Skyrimprefs. For the performance version set it to =1
- Make sure bIBLFenable=0 in Skyrimprefs. Always. For Mo2 users check your skyrimprefs in your Mo2 ini folder.
Compatibility
- Incompatible with any other weather mods, this includes mods like Obsidian, Wander and RAID weathers, even though they are respecting vanilla's intent, they change too much. Any other weather mod will probably not look consistent with either my weather addon and/or the ENB.
- ENB is incompatible with Twilight, due to this ENB already handling it on it's own. And Twilight touches sky stuff so it might break things if you leave it installed. Will work fine if you just intent to use the weather plugin and no ENB.
- Compatible with faithful weathers, northern weathers, classic weathers, legendary weathers, as long as you load my weather files after.
- Weather plugin is compatible with The Vanilla ENB 2, this due to the fact that this ENB does not have custom weather edits and solely relies on global tuning. My weather addon has everything styled in vanilla
Luts
To switch the LUTS you need to open the ENB with Shift+Enter. In the postpass section, the middle window, you can open it up and then switch LUTs with "select lut". Simply a numeral value you can change to switch luts. 0 to 6 at the moment. 0 being Ebony LUT.
This is just an example from my Dawnfire ENB, which has the same lut setup except the first one being Ebony.
