yo man, thanks for creating this mod. this is a good alternative to the stances mod.
for those who are wondering about the folders, you can add additional power attacks to the thrust folders. this means you can now switch between the mordhau/pommel strike power attack from cfpao and the vertical slash power attack from fp-cao size matters. you can also add more folders for other weapons, i just copy pasted mine and edited it on the in-game OAR menu.
this means you can also use that spinning power attack from fp-cao size matters haha
I figured out that I need to be using Dtry's Key Utils SE since the author apparently mislabeled the ae version as se. The thrust attack keybind is still unfortunately not working for me (even when holding the key) and I have a few ideas why. 1. Maybe I can't have CFPAO active at the same time as this mod? 2. Maybe this mod is incompatible with improved camera SE since the thrusts are only supposed to work in first-person? 3. Maybe I'm doing something wrong when changing the keybind; my FPThrust.ini currently looks like this
Edit: omg I just realized that I was supposed to open that link and change the values corresponding to my chosen key. The only confusing thing is that the number under the "hex" column on the website for LeftAlt is 0x38 but by default the number in the .ini is 0x801. Should I change 0x801 to the number corresponding to my desired keybind or just leave it? Edit 2: No matter what I do, nothing happens when i press the keybind. Help would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently using this mod with Improved Camera y CFPAO, so I think is with the version of Key Utils you have installed. I would recommend reinstalling this mod and try again with the default key to confirm that is working.
0x801 is the FormID from the spell used by this mod. The only value you need to touch is 56.
Thank you for your help, it works!!!!! I didn't understand that i needed to hold the keybind *and* press the attack button for the animation to play. Now that I can keep my beloved thrust attacks, I'm free to switch to Modern first person animation overhaul >:)) As a note for anyone on 1.6.353, the version of dtry key utils that ended up working for me was the one labeled for AE on the main page.
I've been waiting for this functionality for some time.
It works very well in tandem with "Modern first-person animation overhaul", the main reason being that it adds variations to the power attacks' animations based on movement direction (adding a thrust for the forward sword power attack).

Great mod, is there a way to bind the key to work with a controller?
About the key, the animations will only apply when you are holding the key.
