About this mod
Three abandoned horses wait patiently behind the Whiterun stable. Some say their previous owner may have been killed by a dragon. Hopefully someone can adopt and care for them. ESLed version.

The horses are alone. They are loyal and free to a good home.
Mod History:
Three Horses is a very simple mod originally released as Horses by Perdida and the ObliSan Team. I have always felt connected to it. Perdida graciously asked me to re-upload the mod with modern touches and continue to care for their horses, as they have retired (for now) from modding.
And thank you for helping to care for the horses now, too!
How is this version different from the Original?
The new version has been:
- ESLed (ESP-FE)
- Cleaned with latest SSEEdit - it did need it.
- The horses were moved slightly to maintain compatibility with (some) other mods. One horse was spawning inside a wall.
- The .esp name has been changed so any future patches or patch collections won't confuse this ESLed version with the earlier non-ESLed original mod.
- For now the horse's names remain the same. If you would like to use your own names, it is easy and fun to rename them in SSEEdit or with a mod.
- Header is v.1.70 so it is compatible with all Skyrim SE/AE versions at least through v.1.6.1170.

Installation:
Just install normally. It should be safe to install mid-game. This is a simple mod that shouldn't need any additional requirements.
If you had the original mod installed, you could in theory still install this, though you would have two of each horse. You could, of course, rename the extra horses.

Compatibility:
I have been using many mods, including JK's Outskirts and Kojaks Whiterun Outskirts Market for SSE together, and the horse placement has been optimized for that.
This mod may place the horses in a less than desirable location if you are using other mods. JK's Whiterun Outskirts and Ryn's Whiterun CIty Limits
together may not place the horses in an ideal location. While we wait for a JK/Ryn/Kojak patch, horse placement can be modified in SEEdit or the CK if one prefers. Please comment with what does and doesn't work.

- Simplest Horses (and other mounts) = Main lightweight horse mod
- Simple Claim Horse = Ownership mod
- Diziet's Immersive Stables = Combined with Immersive Stables, increase the number of managed horses and assign where the horse considers home
- Longer-Lasting Faster-Acting Horses = Boosts horse speed and stamina
- TrueHUD = Includes a horse stamina bar
- True Directional Movement = Better 1st and 3rd person experience
- Better Third Person Selection - BTPS (AE - SE) = Better experience doing stuff from horseback
- Horses Simply Turn Better = What it says
- Faster Horse Dismount SSE = What it says
If you have the AE Wild Horses CC you can try:
- Wild Horses (cc) Spawn Patch = Allows horses from the AE/CC Wild Horses to appear in game without first needing to buy the horse map. Note that there is also a mod with the same name (Wild Horses) that is NOT the AE/CC one. I am using the AE one.
