    Having a weird bug that I'm a bit at a loss with. In case it's relevant I was using 1.2.2 and just updated to 1.2.3, but based on the changelog it doesn't look like anything has changed that would impact this issue.

    I keep having several nude dudes from this mod showing up in cities, lol. Photo below (don't worry, my modlist is SFW). Do you have any idea why this would happen? Could it possibly be a conflict with Better Skyrim Parties? In this instance they showed up at Roggvir's execution but I've also seen them wandering around Whiterun. If you have any idea why this could be happening, I'd appreciate it!

      Those are dummy NPCs that should be actually be visible in game. Did you cast the Charge Soul Gem spell at some point? Otherwise, it may be another mod that moves them there. I'll take a look at Better Skyrim Parties.

      I haven't cast any spells from this mod, this is on a new save testing my LO (which is massive, so it may very well be an obscure conflict). Better Parties was the only one I could remotely think of though that might pull NPCs elsewhere. Where are these fellas supposed to live normally? I can try to see if anything references the cell/cells in my LO. I'll keep troubleshooting on my end and let you know if I find a likely culprit.

    Hello, any idea what might cause Azura's Star to disappear after charging an item with it?
    Filling it works fine, since I just filled it with a lesser soul, but after using "Azura's Star (Lesser)" to charge my staff the Star disappeared from my inventory completely.

    Possibly helpful infos:
    - I disabled the Star Degradation.
    - Checking via SSEEdit, I couldn't find a conflict relevant to this.

      I've looked into it and I think I fixed it:


      There's one caveat: you'll need to close and reopen the menu for it to take effect. I hope that's not too big of an issue.
      I'll be uploading this version when I get home.

    If it's possible to display a unique name when capturing a unique npc, wouldn't it also be possible to take said soul gem and do some ritual like in the aetherium forge for example to summon the npc as a permanent undead thrall?

    That would be a dark mechanic immersion wise and interesting mechanic gameplay wise because normally for a permanent dead thrall you need to be a master conjurer. I also like that it has to be a unique npc, that makes the act more cruel. The aetherium forge in the midden under the college would fit thematically great and it'd also pair nice with Necromancy is Crime and NPCs react to Necromancy :) 

    Just a small mod suggestion I'd be really hyped about, love your mods <3

    What are the skill requirements in Restoration for charging and releasing souls from gems? Does changing the Soul Trap requirements also alter the Restoration level needed to use those spells successfully?

    If not, are you up for adding some options for changing those too? :)

      It's dependant on Restoration, but it's also RNG, so even at higher levels you have a chance to fail.

      Does changing the Soul Trap requirements also alter the Restoration level needed to use those spells successfully?
      No.

      If not, are you up for adding some options for changing those too?
      I have no current plans for that.

    Like so many of your mods this is a must-have for my load order. There is just one feature I´m not totally happy with: Harvesting souls from Critters conflicts with quite a few butterfly and other animal mods I use. So my question is what would I have to do to disable this feature? Would it be enough to have the meshes overwritten by other mods? Or would I need to remove scripts (and which ones)? Or is it more complicated than that? Thanks a lot for your incredible work!
    Oh, and is your mod compatible with CS Soul Fragments to Soul Gems?

      That was actually one of the features I was most proud of. Oh well... If you let other mods override the meshes, you won't be able to soul trap them, so that's enough if you don't want to be able soul trap them. Don't try to edit any scripts, it'll do more harm than good.

      Oh, and is your mod compatible with CS Soul Fragments to Soul Gems?
      "Compatible", as in "It won't crash."? Yes.
      Consistent and with good synergy? Probably not.

      Thanks for your quick response. There is nothing wrong with critters having tiny souls (as a game feature - not meant as a Theologian thesis), it´s more a practical issue for me. I have several butterfly mods installed, so there are dozens of different butterflies that would need to be patched. And I´m already hunting them for their wings  ingredients, it would not be fair to also harvest their souls. So I´m happy with the overritten meshes workaround.
      I used the CS Soul Fragments to Soul Gems mod because there was never a use for soul gem fragments (as far as I was able to see), but since your mod adds new recipes for them, I´m fine.
      One last question: Below you said that the Skyking Soul Gems mod is not compatible with your mod. Is it because of the new meshes? Would a texture replacer mod be working? (Not that there seems to be one on the Nexus at the moment...) Im allergic against vanilla textures. Thanks again - and keep surprising us, please!

      My apologies if I sounded a bit harsh before. Those are the results of lack of sleep, I guess.
      I used the CS Soul Fragments to Soul Gems mod because there was never a use for soul gem fragments (as far as I
      was able to see), but since your mod adds new recipes for them, I´m fine.
      Yes, my mod also adds recipes like that, through soul gem dust.
      One last question: Below you said that the Skyking Soul Gems mod is not compatible with your mod. Is it because of the new meshes? Would a texture replacer mod be working?
      The reason I said that, is because of the following;
      1. I have added new types of filled soul gems, namely solar and astral, each with their own textures. Skyking Soul Gems won't affect those.
      2. AFAIK, Skyking Soul Gems makes manual edits to the soul gem records, which my mod does as well, which means it will revert my edits, which are needed to have my mod function.
      3. Any variants on filled soul gems filled with undersized souls (which are their own records in my mod), won't have Skyking Soul Gems textures applied.
      So unless a patch is made for those Skyking Soul Gems will be incompatible, I'm afraid.

      And thanks for the clarification on the Skyking Soul Gems mod.
      I've got quite a few mods coming.
      I´m really looking forward to those.
      Until then I still have to update and check 400 mods for my 3000 mods modlist, before I can start again. (Been afk for a while...)

    Is this mod compatible with ordinator because i can't see the perks on the conjuration tree for soul traping undead and daedra

      In that case, just use the console commands to bypass the perk requirements. (see customization: "Changing restrictions on Soul Trap")

    Dead and Daedric Guardians just updated to version 4.0.  It says it requires some kind of a soul gem management mod, and specifically references Acquisitive Soul Gems Multithreaded and GIST (both of which are incompatible with ASGO).  ...but, it says any soul gem management mod should work.  Based on the changes ASGO makes to soul gems, I'm guessing it would need a patch, if it isn't just completely incompatible.

    Has anyone tried it yet?  I'm still building my mod list, and it isn't currently in a state where I can test.

      Yes, ASGO will very likely need a patch for Dead and Daedric Guardians.

    Most all of these changes are things I heartily approve of since they are the kind of broken mechanic that make me think of the tractor mechanic Vern (who wears Al's uniform).

    Azura's star... should degrade but be repairable by having at least one soul in it. It should also be able to hold up to ten. This isn't just "the best Soulgem on Nirn", after all, it's a Daedric artifact! I have every intention of winning it, purifying it, and destroying it at Aetherium forge!

      Seems a bit too easy, since that way you basically repair it by using it? Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

      I agree. Unfortunately, holding more than 1 soul is not possible engine wise, otherwise I'd have done it.

    Hi Sacra/Andrealphus, I wanted to report a possible CTD due to a edit this mod's CC plugin does to the fish.esm, specially a edit it does to the atlantic cod nif.

      Try 1.2.1 of the CC patch. Hopefully this fixes the CTD.
