Hides quest items in menus: container and/or player inventory. You can save/load/change settings through the Mod Control Panel (MCP). No esp/scripts. Install/Uninstall/Update whenever.
technically the mod can function without it but it is highly recommended. Dont forget to endorse!

I know there is a mod that hides quest items in container menus. But it does not hide in the player inventory menu. And it has esp + papyrus scripts. I don't like esp and scripts.
Summary The mod allows you to hide quest items in the menus of your choice. I think they are visible only in the player inventory menu and container menus by default, so these are the options atm. Equipped or favorited items do not get affected.
You can save/load/change settings in the Mod Control Panel (MCP) from SKSE Menu Framework. To bring up the MCP, press the key specified in the INI of the Menu Framework mod. The default should be F1.
If you do not want MCP, you could also just edit the json file, but you wouldn't be able to change settings during the game.
