About this mod

Ice Golems created eras ago by the Dragon Cult and kept under the control of their creators using the tonal power of their Dragon masters' Thu'um, these Ice Golems did not transform into the uncontrollable feral giant ice beasts that most Ice Golems did, although they naturally have less destructive power.

"
It is well documented how difficult it is to generate powerful Ice Golems in the snowy lands of Skyrim, due to the powerful and stormy magical nature that this element possesses in the region. Most are created unbound, or break free after some time, destroying their creators and everything in their path, and becoming monstrous feral creatures that haunt the snowhills of the province. For this reason, most people interested in using ice elementals resort to summoning the equally strong but more docile Frost Atronachs, directly from Oblivion.

However, if the method of creating the Ice Golem of Nirn is lost to time, and if even then it was difficult to tame such constructs, with the help of arcane knowledge and the tonal power of the Thu'um of the Dragons, some ancient Nord mages of the Dragon Cult managed to create bound Ice Golems, controllable and that persist under their control to this day.

In golem and atronach cataloguing, we define them as Lesser Ice Golems, in comparison to the terrible and legendary Ancient Ice Golems, which were born feral or became feral, although most Lesser Ice Golems come from the same era. They also naturally have less destructive power, in addition to smaller size, so the adjective "Lesser" also encompasses such factors.

It is difficult, however, to find these constructs nowadays, they are generally restricted to being under the magical control of some Draugr within remote, long-abandoned Nordic tombs."

(*Who is Beastmaster Mihail? He is my avatar/persona within the universe composed of all my mods. He is the ingame author who writes the texts that are usually presented as descriptions for my mods. A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

Technical information: they are summoned by some Draugrs, and it is possible to obtain the spelltome to summon them by looting the same Draugrs that summon the golems.

One last detail: this design was inspired by the Ice Golem from TES 1, Arena, I hope you liked my reinterpretation of it.
(check the comparison bellow)

- 1 new creature: Lesser Ice Golem;

- 1 new spell: Conjure Lesser Ice Golem.
