About this mod

Balancing for stronger wolf enemies and new alpha wolves as enemy type. Mod is ESL so does not take room from load order. Version that has changes Mortal Enemies mod makes to wolf race forwarded now available. Mortal Enemies version works even without Mortal Enemies but then you get only MEs changes to wolves and not other enemies.

Vanilla Skyrim regular Wolves are extreamly weak enemies and this mod aims to make them little more dangerous. They should not die anymore to one hit when you are just fresh 1 level adventurer. Mod also modifes Ice Wolves giving them stronger attack. Spirit Wolves you encounter in Companions questlines are made to hit harder also. They had quite tanky HP already so I did not change that. But their attack was same as regular wolves so it got noticeable boost. Made Wolf Guardian Spirit you encounter in Kyne's Sacred Ritual Quest slightly stonger also. Changes from Unofficial patch for Wolf Guardian Spirit are forwarded in my mod. Finally mod adds new wolf type "alpha" wolf. Its stronger compared to regular wolves but weaker compared to ice wolves.

Alpha wolf uses unused wolf from game files. It was used for games E3demo back in day. I added it into game and made its stats stronger to be in line with other changes in this mod. Its little stronger than regular wolf having 20 more hp and 10 more stamina. But still weaker than ice wolves as they dont share habitat. It uses different texture from regular wolf. In Vanilla game this is brown fur variant. If you use mod like Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack Revamp it supports these new added alpha wolves.

Adding Alpha Wolves to 3 following leveled lists:

Plains Predator 11 different spawns, 3 regular Wolf 1 Alpha wolf
Forest Predator 26 different spawns, 3 regular Wolf 1 Alpha wolf
Canyon Predator 20 different spawns, 3 regular Wolf 1 Alpha wolf

Done by replacing 1 regular wolf spawn by Alpha Wolf spawn


Detailed stat changes of different wolf types:

Regular Wolves: Got their HP increased from 22 to 40 and their base damage from 5 to 15.
Ice Wolves: Got their HP increased from 137 to 140 and their damage from 20 to 30.
Spirit Wolves: Has old vanilla HP but got their damage increased from 5 to 30.
Wolf Guardian Spirit: Got their HP increased from 22 to 80, stamina from 205 to 225 and their base damage from 5 to 15.
New Alpha Wolves Have HP of 60 and damage of 15.

As reminder Wolf races base HP was increased from 12 to 30 and damage from 5 to 15. This will take on affect all Wolves even added from other mods that use base wolf race. Bashed tags included for Wrye Bash!
