First, such a unique weapon SHOULDN'T BE "craftable", but able to FIND and GAIN it - through a challenge, a boss-battle, something...!!!
Second... the textures are well, but not realistic. I mean, the weapon (in the pics) looks like a plastic toy you purchased from toy-store for your kid. Even the low-res rock stand you have in the pics, looks more realistic than the weapon.
You need to make it REALISTIC. (I can help you, with the textures, if you want).
"At Forelhost, one of the hardest dungeons in Skyrim." "You can craft unenchanted Mjöllnir only once you rescued Mjöllnir at Forelhost." That should adequately answer your first point. "You need to make it REALISTIC." That is a personal preference. I think it makes perfect sense for a hammer used by a god to be clean and shiny.
You're complaining about a FREE mod. The mod author doesn't "need" to do anything just to suit your personal preferences. If it doesn't suit you, either uninstall it (if you even downloaded it to begin with) or tweak it yourself. This sort of entitlement is absolutely disgusting.
Stop ganging up on this guy. Can he not give recommendations/critique on this MOD?! This isn't the second coming of Christ, you don't need to protect modders like they're an endangered species.
As for the textures, an improvement would be nice, so you should accept Lupus's offer graciously. Lupus, if you do make a patch with better textures, I recommend changing the damage and enchantment to be stronger too. As for the location, I don't think Forelhost is particularly bad. It's not too hard to reason this as an artifact of the dragon cult, and since Forelhost was basically the last stronghold of it, I see it as fine. If you wanted, you could add an extra draugr deathlord or something during Rahgot's boss fight, and give it this weapon.
The 1k texture download doesn't work. Got through Forelhost and neither the hammer or the pedestal was there in front of the word wall. Removed the mod then downloaded the 2k version and it worked fine.
Great mod! One note on the description, though. The handle wasn't shorter because of a mishap, Loki convinced the dwarves to shorten it because he told them of Thor's unimaginable strength, and that the longer handle would only get in his way. He actually hoped that Thor wasn't able to carry it so he would be ashamed in front of the other gods, but to Loki's surprise Thor picked it up with ease and actually preferred the shorter handle. Loki gifted a lot of stuff to the other gods and there was always something sinister behind it, but often his plans would completely backfire on him. A lot of these stories are in the Poetic Edda, you should really read it if you're interested in that kind of stuff.
It's shorter because Loki turned into a something like mosquito or a fly and bit the dwarf if I remember corectly in the eye and the dwarf stop working on the hammer for a second or so which is why the handle isn't as long. But those brothers still made better s#*! than the other 2 dwarven brothers and they won the competition. There's a whole story behind it but basicaly it's a mistake that the handle is shorter.
It was a fly, and that's from Snorri's Edda, which (sadly) is not a reliable or even historical source and is full of contradictions. It's more like a fantasy novel of a guy who really wanted to sell a book, but then revised so many times throughout hundred of years that nobody knows who wrote what anymore. Either way, it's both made-up and probably not what people actually believed back then.

You can craft the non enchanted one only if you get the Mjollnir.
If you want, make a patch for this mod
