Permissions and credits

Update Added. Story Update Next. Will be adding more story elements and another quest or two...Or more... 9/3
Afterwards I will be attempting to add a small settlement buildable by the player. Along with a Hearhtfire house to be built. That one may take a while so bear with me. If you have any suggestions for making it happen please let me know.

Newest Update Features:
- Each major Hunter's Cabin now has a garden. There is a total of 117 plots of soil to grow in.  Anything that can be grown in the hearthfire green house can be grown in the garden. (Requires a shovel to get the gardens ready.)
- Craftable Shovel
- The ship at Dawnstar has been moved again...
- Option to start the Shipwrecked quest or arrive at the docks from the Dawnstar ship.
- Amakai the White Wolf follower. (Amakai in Dwemer means "survive" so I thought it went well with the mod) Can be found near the valley.
- Mzual the Exiled Falmer Follower. Has a small quest to go along with him. Can be found near the Ancient Mountain Pass (When you go into the city with Mzual keep him close by. There are triggers that require him to walk through.)
- Both ships (The rebuilt one and the Dawnstar one) and their corresponding ships have linked storage.
- New Cave added around the mammoth plains area.

Attention: If reinstalling it's best if you go into your data folder and delete the following folders before installing new version:
-Data/Meshes/Terrain/TheIsland (Delete whole TheIsland folder)
-Data/Meshes/Terrain/Underground (Delete whole Underground folder)
-Data/Textures/Terrain/TheIsland (Delete whole TheIsland folder)
-Data/Textures/Terrain/Underground (Delete whole Underground folder)
-Data/LODSettings/(Delete TheIsland and Underground)

If you go into Data/Meshes/Terrain and Data/Textures/Terrain and see a folder called island03 delete it. It's from the old incomplete file. And could possibly be messing up LOD's

Please continue to post any issues in the comments section. Thank You

This mod requires Campfire - Complete Camping System

Alternate Start - Live Another Life is now Optional

You were aboard a ship headed for Skyrim until a terrible storm caused the ship to sink. You wake up on the shore of an unknown island. You must survive while exploring the island and trying to find a way off the island and on to Skyrim. You start with no gear at all as you explore a large detailed island. You must craft everything from the beginning or search around to find items/weapons to use. While exploring the island you will discover an ancient Dwemer city. There is an emphasis on crafting and survival. So unlike Skyrim where you play through one dungeon and come out with 100 different weapons and armors, you'll not find a lot of gear. While searching around you will come across old hunting cabins that you can build basic furniture for and use as a player home. You can also have a garden at each cabin. There are a few shrines around the island that somewhat cryptically tell the story of what happened long ago when the Dwemer inhabited the island. The story is not in your face, so for those that don't care for story elements and just want to play a survival style game, you totally can. I tend to always play Skyrim without ever doing the main quests and I imagine others do as well. There are a few quests to do as well. None of the quests besides the main quest are essential.

Quick Tutorial:
Once the game starts on the coast of the island press TAB. Select Magic and go to Powers. It would be a good idea to favorite all the powers you'll be using.
This would be:
Campfire- Resourcefulness: Use this to look for wood, chop wood (if you have an axe or hatchet), create campfires, create items.
Hunterborn- Scrimshaw: After Hunterborn loads you can favorite this power. Use this to create more items.
Ineed- Actions: Use this to eat food, drink water, refill water....
(There will probably be others depending on which mods you'll be using
Once set up, use Resourcefulness and select "Gather Branches" Then use the power again and select "Create Item." Go to "Wood" category and create "Stone Hatchet." From here you can use the power again and "Chop Deadwood" for firewood.

I found it a good idea to go into Hunterborn options and disable timescale on processing dead animals. This way the screen won't fade every time you harvest an animal.  (Just a personal preference.)
Another helpful thing for me was to go into Hunterborn options and set Process on what happens when you activate a dead animal while crouching. This will automatically go through the motions for you instead of having to click every time you want to harvest animal parts and pelts. After you set it you'll need to crouch and activate a dead animal three times to go through all of the processing. (Harvest Animal parts, Skin Pelt, Dispose body)

From there just play the game how you wish...

Side Note:

This mod was made with new characters in mind. But this being a Bethesda game, I wanted anyone to be able to play however they wish. So I added a ship at Dawnstar that will take existing characters to the island. This ship now has an option to start the game at the shipwreck start as well as just taking the ship to Dawnstar.

I strongly recommend you download the following mods for better survival gameplay.
Hunterborn SE for better hunting and more crafting.
SkyHUD to disable compass. The compass really ruins the discovery aspect in my opinion.
Harvest Overhaul Redone for better harvesting.
INeed- Food Water and Sleep for realistic needs.
SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators for more realistic animals.

Attention: I've started a discussion on the discussion tab for anything you would like to see in a future update. Obviously not everything is going to get done but I would like this to be one of the best mods on the nexus and I think giving people what the want within reason is the way to do it...

Please let me know what you think of the mod and endorse if you like it. I hope you enjoy it.
