Ever get so immersed in your game you forget to save? Me too. So after losing progress enough times to the famous Shadowrend crashes, I went looking for a mod to solve my issue. I found this which is perfect. A very small and simple mod, having a pop up show in your top left corner of the screen reminding you to save. 
You can set the frequency of the reminder with the spell called "Stay Save"
Once set I would recommend using "Powers Keyring" to get rid of the spell from your inventory and reduce clutter (get rid of all your clutter while your at it ;)

You can change the popup text in XEdit. In the last 2 pictures you can see how.

I liked it so much I got permission from the mod author AnbeeGod to port it to SE, in case any of you guys want/need this mod.

What did I do with the mod?
Converted it from Form 43(Oldrim) to Form 44 (SE)
Converted from full ESP slot to an ESP-FE, so it does not take up a slot in load order.

Why always manual save and not auto save? A large load order could mean a lot of stuff could be going on and auto saves could happen during an inconvenient time. This could potentially cause CTD's, and reloading the save not working.
Most stable saves are saved in the ESC menu.
