About this mod
Vendors have a small chance to turn into seekers and attack you. A little surprise element.
Inspiration for this came from playing Dead Cells

I played a ton of Dead Cells recently and in that game, Vendors can turn into mimics at higher difficulties. I loved that sort of surprise element and so i made this mod. Maybe it doesn't make a lot of sense why this happens, but it's a fun little gameplay gimmick
Theoretically the chance of that event happening is 1/50, so it shouldn't be too common.
Note: The mimic starts at level 10 and levels with you until level 60. So early game ca be dangerous.
If you manage to kill it you get rewarded with some good loot. In case you run away and leave the building/city, you get nothing.
In any case, the vendor respawns after the mimic is gone, but has no immunity to the effect afterwards. So theoretically there is a chance for multiple mimics to spawn off one vendor.
Q: Is this mod esl flagged?
A: Yes
Q: Mimics never appear
A: Not a question, but still, the chance is 1 in 50 every time. This does not mean talking 50 times with a person will guarantee it appearing. It's just a very small chance to happen.
Q: Why don't i get a reward when i run away?
A: Because killing it should feel better than running away imo
Q: Does it work on insert version number here ?
A: This mod by itself technically does not care about your game version, but the requirements of it do. If Rogue's Gallery and PO3's papyrus extender work on your version, this mod will as well.
Requirements:
PO3 Papyrus Extender for Generating a random int
Rogue's Gallery to get the vendor you're currently talking with
Compatibility:
everything that does not change the way vendors trade with you and it should work without issues with any mod added vendor as long as it uses the barter menu.
the mod registers for the barter menu, if a mod completely disables it and replaces it, it won't work (i don't know a mod doing that). reskins or expansions to it don't matter and are fine to use
Install:
whenever
please for the love of whoever, use a mod manager to install it
Update:
Make sure to not have a mimic loaded at the time you saved --> install the update --> overwrite --> start the game --> profit?
Uninstall:
whenever, make sure you're not in the same cell as a mimic cause you might lose a vendor if you uninstall the mod in that state
