Simple NPC Outfit Manager seems to have fixed the nude glitch (using Convenient Horses and Amazing Follower Tweaks) for me. It may work as a possible work-around.
That Outfit Manager is cool but it is not a complete workaround if the player configures home outfits using AFT. If your follower has a home outfit, then the outfit selected using Outfit Manager will get duplicated when your follower enters your house and then leaves. I have found as many as 9 duplicated outfits on a follower. I use the Outfit Manager on my AFT followers who don't need both standard and home outfits. Unfortunately, Serana has a home outfit so she tends to get naked after riding. I attribute it to some exhibitionist quirk she has. It's not like vampires can feel the cold under their bare feet. I just tell her to put her clothes on by getting her to show me her AFT home outfit and then she change back to her standard outfit when I exit the dialog. It's odd that my other AFT followers don't have this issue despite having AFT standard and home outfits. But then they are both mod followers. The problem seems to only affect base game followers.
You cannot remove scripted mods mid-game without properly following the uninstall procedure of said mod and then cleaning the save with save cleaner tools.
Which command from this script could be used in a bat file? I was thinking about a bat file in the game directory with the command to dress the followers, in case the script dont work.
Does not work at all for me with AFT 1.66 and CH 6.0.3.
Whenever I get into combat while mounted one or more followers switch to nude mode for combat on the ground when I dismount. Pity is that AFT does not have an option to actually equip the standard outfit (only unequip all). So I pretty much have to take/give an item to every follower that got naked.Pretty annoying ...

Amazing Follower Tweaks: There have been few issues here and there and most of them have been prevented. It is important to have horse features disabled in AFT along with follower teleport on weapon draw setting. ... Follower returns to default outfit or becomes naked when dismounting or leaving mounted combat. This is related to CH keeping -teammate status flag- turned off on followers while controlling them, to prevent interference from player actions. I bypassed all known triggers for this problem in the update, but it still might happen when some other mod does something to follower equipment while they are mounted. It has also been reported that giving torches to follower leads to this problem.
And as far as I know the nude problem was fixed with the 6.0.3.version
It's not fixed with 6.0.3. I currently would prefer to have an option in CH to switch off mounted combat for followers entirely. Assuming that this would prevent the bug from happening ...
I haven't played Skyrim for a while now, I even removed the game from my computer. The nude fix I made should still work, because the fixed file is one from Amazing Follower Tweaks. All the fix does is check if the companion is in the "TweakManagedInventoryFaction" and if the player is riding a horse when combat ends, if both are true, gear on the companion(s) is fixed.
If more people can confirm that the fix isn't working anymore, please post here in the comments and I will remove the Nude Fix from the Nexus.
I know this is an old post but I struggled with it not working, I have fixed it now so I'm not sure if this will help everyone. I downloaded this patch with the NMM and when I activated it it was asking if I'd overwrite a file either AFT or CH had, (not sure which one it was) I was clicking 'yes to mod' overwriting the file with the patch mod file. I was confused as to why it was not working however reinstalling the mod and clicking the 'no to mod' option seemed to have worked and now Vilkas no longer likes to victory strip after combat.
Personally I'd just like to chime in and add my two cents to the: please give us an option to toggle mounted combat for followers. (They suck at it, get in the way, and it causes wardrobe malfunctions).
This mod is not a full fix! They still put off their clothers and only after a while back on. Its better then nothing and I endorsed this BUT Convenient horses and AFT have to work together people! Both are great mods - Just fix this stupid naked bug! Peace
Worked on battle end. However, if you fast travel while on horse, your companions will be naked on arrival, and they will call their horses using horns.
Its not working anymore. Now they become nude right after a fight on horseback, like it was before.
Edit: I turned off the follower teleport on weapon draw setting, and in the last battle two of my companions got nude but re-equipped their armors after a few seconds. Edit 2: bugged again, this time one of my companions got stuck without any clothes. This happened at the start of a fight on horseback, and he didnt re-equipped his armor, even after the fight finished. The script is not working.
I have yet to experience this issue after using both for the last two weeks. I use the AFT Tweaks to manage the outfits and set the outfit and have this mod load after it and haven't had a nude rider yet . . . Dammit!! And I have a copy of Lady Godiva (old song) sitting waiting for my Blonde Follower to do that . . .
Bit late I know, but in case anyone else is wondering, I can confirm that yes, the nude issue is still apparent with Immersive AFT and I also read through and confirmed the changes to the script that this mod applies result in identical edits to exactly that same script in Immersive AFT so yes, the mod is compatible and applicable to Immersive AFT as well.
Basically, the script runs a check on combat ending and if the player is in the riding animation check "bIsRiding", the script calls the FixGear() function. What I am wondering is if the animation condition check "bIsRiding" could be removed and instead have the script run the follower's FixGear() function regardless of whether the player is riding. I can't immediately think of any reason why it can't, other than script load. I know Khundiann is no longer using Skyrim but if you see this, could you advise if there is a reason you didn't implement it this way?
To fix this bug, needs to make a plug-in that adds a spell or a follower's menu item “put the follower's equipped clothes on the default clothes list”, if this is realizable.
