Thank you so much I have been struggling with this issue for a while now. I did notice that it does not work with the Imperious - Races of Skyrim mod which I didn't even think of not being compatible since it just reworks the races in the game not adding new ones. All in all thank you for making this mod.
You're welcome! Can you share what race you were using with Imperious mod active? It could've not worked if Imperious was changing the file path for the tintmasks in its plugin/ESP, but I checked and it's same as vanilla. Also, that mod comes with a BSA, so loose files from this mod should've overwritten the textures (if any) from Imperious.
It's not supposed to happen. From what I understand, the dirt tint masks get applied on loading a save with a vampire character for some unknown reason, the only way to get around that is to make the tint masks blank so no texture is visible on the face. They're still getting applied but they are empty.
omfg, thank you and luvU This was starting to really upset me and I had no idea what was causing it, so I just looked up "Vampire dirt face bug" this was the first thing in the search bar, clicked it, added it, everything is better now!
Nothing worse then a character you spent 7 hours crafting getting a couple /forced splatters of black/ on their face!
Hah! Thank you. I was about to uninstall the Blood and Dirt mod. (You occasionally need to wash off all the blood and dirt.) Because no matter what I did THE DIRT WASN'T COMING OFF! Hahaha. I thought the mod was glitched.
You can check which files this mod is overwriting and then enable only one of the three. So you'll have your makeup files and one transparent dirt file.

Like is it supposed to happen?
or is it some weird bug where somebody added a cross reference that shouldn't have been there?
It's bloody weird that this bug exists at all.

Just popped into third person view, and it looked like my character had lost a fight with the business end of a water buffalo.
So fingers crossed this'll do the trick.
